One more observation, it doesn't work through a proxy/firewall configuration... Here at my office, we use a proxy server configuration like "proxyserver.company.com", which will then prompt you for login & PW on trying to access outside the local WAN, but I've yet to see a DX object or widget that's "proxy aware", or even have a place to config a "username:[email protected]:port" type of setting. Well, I went ahead and ordered it, and I must say I think I was expecting a bit more from what was advertised... I'd like to see somthing like an animated desktop or wallpaper (somthing like the "Living" series desktops maybe)... I'll post more thoughts as I spend more time playing with it. Does anyone else have a 30-40% cpu load with this loaded? Yes, but only on my laptop oddly enough... it seems to hover around 50-65%, even after I shut down most other system tray processes. My desktop on the other hand rarely uses more than 3-4%. I wonder if it could be the crappy Radeon Mobility graphics chipset in the laptop? (it a
Nope, still no luck... Firewall's off, popup stopper's off, anti-virus clients off, still no DL... dosn't even start opening a DL window. Tried with Firefox, Maxthon, and IE, all the same. Looks like they've got a nice tool to harvest email address from though.
I'd absolutly be in line for the "natural desktop" concept... I spend me day at work with headphones and relaxingaudio's "atmospheres" audio generator to keep from losing my mind in the cubicle farm, so the extra visuals of a full desktop would really be a plus. Hopefully it won't end up being too CPU intensive.
Is this a stand-alone product, or is it somthing that will make it's way into teh Object Desktop subscription package?
