Do you have any custom addons in Firefox which possibly mess with text rendering?
A bunch, yeah, but even starting FF in safe mode, (or Private mode) without loading any add-ons or extensions results in the same crash immediatly at startup. Would it help any if I send you a screenshot of the FF error page entry ?

Updated to FireFox v35.0, and it's now crashing immediatly on startup. The error listing is "wbload.dll". Firefox 35.0 Crash Report [@ wbload.dll@0xbae8 ] If I exclude FF from being skinned, then it will start, but the titlebar is solid black, (no tabs or buttons available). Edit: I did the customization tweak LightStar outlined above, and now FF is runnign again in a usable fashion, albeit without any skinning applied...
Nope. Bone stock Windows 8.1. The only other customizations on it at all are Start8 and ModernMixm. It's a Dell PC, with a discreet Intel HD graphics.
Anyone else not being able to get this to work ? I'm using Windows 8.1 update 1, no WBlinds or WindowFX installed, just Start8, ModernMix, and ShadowFX. No matter what shadow I choose, nothing is ever implemented. Any suggestions ?
Having played with it for a couple of days now, I can definitely say that this when this finally becomes the "mainstream" OS for all new machines, it will be the OS that will finally push me to OSX or Linux. I see absolutely no benefit to my personal workflow for Window 8, and in fact seems to make it an altogether painful experience to try to get actual work done.
Have been a WinCustomize member since 2001, but was a windowblinds user from long before that. Abyone remember this ? http://web.archive.org/web/20010330090157/https://www.wincustomize.com/ I started using Windowblinds back around 1997, and I remember I had CopperDeck on my PC for the longest time. Wasn't
Island Dog, What icon set is that in your opening post screen shot? Don't recognize it, but it goes really well with the Jakuta WBlind.
No matter what blinds I try, I keep coming back to these... In order of "favoritness" 1. Subsecret 2. Helios 3. Havana 4. VXP 2010 5. Ozone :CONGRAT:
The "Pixtudio" skin definetly! https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=2916&libid=1 Oh, and "Tiamat" has always been one of my favorites as well.
Bummer, I had completely forgotten that it was a 1 year subscription... mine ran out on Nov 8th.
How about the other Object Desktop components ? Is there a listing posted anywhere as to what works (fully, partially, or not at all) ? Mainly interested at this point in Deskscapes, Tweakvista, LogonStudio, Iconpackager, and Fences.

One thing I'm not seeing, (or I'm just missing it somewhere) is the ability to see the version notes, or change log for a given update to see what's new, like you can in SDC. Is it not a planned feature for Impulse? or just not implemented yet ?
UPDATE: They're visible now. Seems that for whatever reason they were flagged as being visible on my personal page only, despite that option being un-checked when I uploaded them.
Would this be the same issue then where I've submitted two entries to a gallery, they've been approved through moderation, (I've got the direct links to reach them), but they don't show up in the general gallery ? https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=13&libid=65 and https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=14&libid=65
Update on the issue: Went back to the store today, and the boxed copies they had were empty, so I went to a different store of the same chain a little farther down the road and of the three copies they had on the shelf, one was an empty box. I was able to exchange my bad copy for one of their good one. On a side note, they also had three boxes for WindowBlinds, which felt like empty boxes as well (no sound when shaking the box)... I brought these to their attention also. <
Thanks for your suggestions / help. I've never had any doubts that Stardock would / does stand behind their product and support, my issue is with CompUSA, and to bring it up as a notice that if there's these few instances here, then there's most likely others. I would suspect either a problem with the packaging line of whoever puts the production boxe sets together, or that it's a "return & restock" at CompUSA, and that an empty box was returned to the shelf... either wa
So I was down at my local CompUSA today, and happened to notice that they had boxed copies of Multiplicity Pro for sale. As I have been meaning to purchase it anyway but hadn't gotten around to it yet, I grabbed a box, paid for it, and left. Later this evening when I got home, I opened it up to install it, and found that it's just an empty box with a blank cardboard insert in it. I called the store back, and they checked the other boxes on the shelf, (4 of them), and they were the same
Link to the BUUF Iconpackage is broken... a search of the IP gallery doesn't bring it up either, has it been pulled ?
Just like the Sarbanes-Oxley act was passed to hold companies responsible for their accounting practices, let's make them accountable for this lack of common sense as well. I for one would love to see legislature passed to hold the companies that lost the data personally & financially responsible for any monetary loss resulting from the data thefts. Let's see how much it hurts them when they have to report to their shareholders that they wi

So, with each revision save, does it savethe whole file? or just the "changed bits" from the previous save ? (like differential backups at the file level).
Hate to say it, but from where I sit, it seems just as slow and buggy as it was before... last couple of days have been continual "Server to Busy", "Server not found", or error pages... page displays are horrible slow. Tried with Firefox, IE, on several different machines.... the real sad thing is that I noticed the slowdows the most right after I renewed my WinCustomize subscription.
