ok i had the same problem... i tried reinstalling bootskin n then loading the default that didnt work. so i decided i would try to find another bootskin so i downloaded another bootskin added it on checked if it worked and wat do u know it worked. then i restored the default and it worked again, but if u try to change it to another skin thats already installed it would work, it has to be a new one (sounds wierd i know, but it worked for me)

Im some what new at this.... I am trying to make a complete theme (boot skin, logon, cursors, sounds) so far its been going pretty good but ive run into one problem... HOW DO I EDIT A BOOT SKIN? i know how to create them... what i want to do it take the original XP boot screen and edit it? any help would be appreciated email me at [email protected] with the subject of either stardock or wincustomize
