If BeOS and/or OS/2 were still alive (sure the IBM website says OS/2 is alive, but they are the only ones convinced that) then I'd go for one of them. I've never used either of them, but there's no way I would ever use an Apple (besides playing around with in the shops). On the other hand, if Linux ran every windows app (exe files) I'd probably be using it right now.

You people are overlooking a few things. My dad used to use Napster all the time to get old songs that he wouldn't be able to find if he walked into a record store, so the only way he could fine them was over the internet. Sure it is stealing (technically) but the artists weren't expecting to earn money from records that were released 20 years ago, so they don't even know that they're lost anything. Anyway, can any of you people tell me that you have never copied any songs off

There's already a thread for this. It's called the "Message Board Marathon" or something like that. Sometimes an admin will want to show off and change the name of it, but it's got over 2000 posts on it. You can try to compete if you want, but you're a LONG way off.

Well it looks like SOMEONE's been watching a bit too much sci-fi . Seriously, everything GM said is right, that is pretty much my ideal computer. What I'd realistically (in the next few years) like to see is monitors that project images from the desktop up to a plate of glass, making the desktop transperant, and with the possibilities of adding more plates of glass behind it, and replacing

Why dosen't this site have edit buttons? The only reason I can think of is that the op's are out to make people look stupid by not letting them edit/delete their posts. I just made 3 spelling mistakes in those 4 lines up there. It's a good thing I saw them, or else this message would make NO sense (which just proves my point). It dosen't help that it's 1:30am, but still...

Mike This thread will probably die because of it's name name. I suggest you make it again under a name that tells people more clearly what it's about. then again, 95% of the message board regulars would probably come here anyway, just to see exactly what is in your fridge .

20 bucks says that SP1 will be cracked to allow it to be installed on devils own copies of XP within 2 weeks of it being released, so don't be too worried Mos|Def . Just a question: Will we have to pay for SP1, or is it a free download? I've been wondering this and I haven't been able to find out anywhere. I'm guessing that it's free, otherwise someone would've said, but you never know with M$. <img

I'm going to bed now, but I'm worried that this thread will reach the 2000 before I'm up. Can you all promise to slow it down for me? Great, I knew I could count on you. HEY! Why are you all staring at me like that? PS. Does anyone here have a speech prepared for if (when) they get the 2000th post? I was planning on writing one, but since it dosen't

I searched for that topic, and funnily enough, I noticed that it was the very first topic, and the search I did was useless, and even more useless because the search box covered the actual topic. Anyway, it made even less sense than this did (at least I am ready for the high level of insanity in this thread).

Yes, and if you can manage to lose all clearly defined thought patterns in the process of combining those several things, then it dosen't make sense. Which leads back to where I started. Did that make sense? I hope not.
