I have about decided that I don't want 11 to look like 7. I'm kinda liking it mostly as is.
From what I've seen of Win 11 thus far, without actually having installed it, I must admit that it looks far better than any previous Windows version. However, being me, I am likely to get bored with it after a while and will want to change the UI, icons and cursors on a regular basis. In an

Yeah, no worries, old mate. Must admit, though, I have gone a bit soft in my old age.... in more ways than one. Won't go into the specifics, but I do have muscles that once got hard when I flexed 'em. Now I try to flex 'em and they go on strike. Then there was the time the doctor held onto my unmentionables and asked me to cough, Put it this way, I was just as surprised and perplexed as he was when there was an echo of Julie Andrews 'Lonely Goat Herder' resonat

I am a member of the 'insider program but I've decided to wait for the official release of Win 11. It's not that far away that I can't wait, so yeah, when it appears in the MS store is when I'll get it. I once was an early adopter, but these days I prefer the more tried and true and hopefully skip a few bugs here and there.

Banned for if you knew Kelvin like I know Kelvin, you wouldn't touch his leftovers, either.... no, you'd call in a Hazmat team to responsibly remove them before a neighbourhood contamination took place.

Banned for suggesting that I break the law and blow up mail boxes and scare little old ladies and dogs with illegal fireworks. Also banned for it is only 4c in my room at 8.45 am and currently minus 2c outside.

An old bloke in his late 80's rocks up at his doctors and said that his wife had sent him because she reckoned he was losing his faculties. The doctor asked: "What do you mean, losing your faculties?" "Well," he said: "I asked her for sex after lunch today and she gruffly replied, don't be so greedy, you've already had it three times this morning."
Right. Because MS's record is so clean, or maybe this time it'll be different? C'mon, Carl...MS leaked that version, just like its sneak hints about W11 to whip up the market. They just didn't expect it to backfire. I'm way past the point of believing in MS's goodness.
Thing is, MS has not behaved in users better interests since it forced Win 10 down peoples throats. That's when any 'goodness' MS had flew out the wi

And then there was the man who had gotten himself a really great tan from sunbaking but noticed that the only part of him that wasn't tanned was his Long John Tiddlywacker. Thing was, he didn't want the rest of him to get any darker so he went down to the beach and buried everything but his untanned manhood in the sand. A few moments later a couple of old spinsters walking along the beach noticed his tockley sticking out of the sand and one says to the other: "Well I'll

Win 11 had better have clear user access to local accounts... not all this bullshit designed to confuse users as to their options, privacy and other rights. It seems that MS learnt nothing from the debacle of 'Get Windows 10' which forced users into upgrading when they didn't want to. That happened to me when Win 10 was installed on my HP 2-in-1 during Scheduled Maintenance during the night. Not only was it without my consent, the recovery partition was wiped as well, meanin
I own a copy of Zorin OS Ultimate . I bought it about 2 years ago. I installed it on a fresh HDD and I really liked it alot. It is smooth and very snappy. But as I soon found out, it was a Bitch when it came to non-compatibility issues. Proper drivers are difficult to find and install , You can't install most Win32 programs and if you want to use any of Stardocks software , well , you're out of luck, it won't work on this OS. I finally had
I'm just gonna leave this here. I've seen the Zorin OS on Majorgeeks and other sites but never bothered to download and try it. Maybe it's time I investigate it to assess it for future use. As it is I have three machines that are Win 11 compatible, but Shaunna's and Steve's PCs are not compliant with 11, so hopefully MS does downgrade those minimum requirements to allow them and millio

Both the machines I plan to use for Win 11 pass the current minimum requirements, but as I said earlier, I think MS will have to downgrade those in order to get as many PCs as possible to run 11. If they don't then users able to run it will fall far below MS' hopes for uptake..
Even if your machine may be able to run it anyway, I think the installer won't install it if it fails the check.
Not necessarily so. A person I know loaded the leaked version of Win 11 on his 8 y/o laptop, an it's no high-end machine. Sure it has 4Gb of RAM, but it only has a 1.8 Mhz CPU. I think it's a bit of a lottery at the moment... there's some people with high-end machines that fail minimum requir
Looks like I won't be upgrading to Windows 11, my Core I7-920 CPU isn't supported. Definitely cannot afford a new PC. [e digicons]:([/e]
I think quite a few people will find their PCs are not supported or don't meet the system requirements. That's the way things have been heading since the advent that was Vista. A lot of people couldn't upgrade from XP back in the day, and the issue continued with subseque
