He brews his own beer and pots it on at the pub from time to time....makes the best Porter I've ever had.
I used to brew my own but found the process became a bit too much due to arthritis. It wasn't so much the actual fermenting side of it that became a bit much, rather it was washing and sterilising dozens of bottles, adding sugar to each bottle to carbonate it, then filling and capping each bottle.
Most Pilsner beer has a heartier taste. You will enjoy it.
No doubt I will, given my liking for Pilsners. I have a few on my to-do list but many are unavailable due to the damned Corona Virus affecting deliveries from Europe, where most pilsners originated. Oh well, in the meantime there's hundreds of international beers still available here in Oz
B
You guys do have me maybe reconsidering. Didn't really think many would care..
You're almost like a part of the furniture around here after all these years.... so yeah, there'll be plenty of us who care. However, that doesn't mean to say you should reconsider. Do what's right and best for you, and if you can, just pop in every now and then to say hi "I'm doing okay"

Another 'yesterday' post: We had some Becks and it went down a treat.... as always. I [we] hadn't had it in a while - a couple of years at least - more likely 3 or 4 - so it was almost an experimentation of something we'd not had before. Today we have a delivery of 2 cases of Carlsberg Pilsner arriving. I've had the Carlsberg Lager before and quite liked it, but the Pilsner will be another tester for us. Anyhow, folks, I off back to bed. I woke up reall

Yesterday saw a change in our quest to sample as many imported beers as we can and we tried Bintang, a Pilsner from Indonesia. To be quite honest, I did not think Indonesia brewed much in the way of beer, but I was pleasantly surprised with this beer. It has a nice rich hop and barley flavour with a sweetish after-taste. Yup, it's one that I'd recommend.

Banned for attending boring places and bitching about it afterward to the poor unsuspecting souls whose sensitive ears took a noise blast at the point of your painstaking delivery.

Hey, Jim, this mightn't be the happiest news for many of us here at WC, but as others have said, you need to do what is right and best for you. I took a bit of time away some time ago myself, and the break did help to sort myself out and return feeling so much better than before. Hopefully you won't be a total stranger and will pop in every once in a while to let us know that you're okay. In any event, do stay safe and well for us. Best wishes always to you and yours
Quoting starkers, reply 38 That's typical: the Yanks suing the original holder of a name to own and use it themselves. I recall a family bakery I used to visit in Ipswich Queensland being sued by MacDonalds for the name it had been known by since the 1850's. As was oft

Don't know why the original Budweiser would be an unpopular choice, it is in fact quite a decent beer, not that I've had one in a while. I've seen it at Dan Murphys but went with other choices at the time. However, I shall purchase a slab [case of 24] next time I'm in-store.

Well today has been a bit of a mixture and very soon I'm going to have a grandpa nap to recuperate from a rough night of coughing and not being able to sleep much. Anyhow, att. Jafo, we started out with Coopers Sparkling Ale, and what a nice drop it is, too. Some people may get put off the slightly cloudy appearance, but I hope that doesn't put anyone off giving this great beer a try. It has a crisp sparkling texture with a nice hop/malt flavour. It comes in at 4.8 a

I dunno, can't take a friggin' trick just lately.... my 3rd piece of hardware in a couple of months died a week ago
And that's not 'fucking with it'? As I said....build it once and build it right.
I had to fuck with my AMD FX machine last week .... the PSU gave up the ghost and died. It was less than a month old so I took it out and RTM-ed the sucker. Well I got its replacement earlier today
There's a pub in Werribee that has 180 beers...either on tap or in bottle.
I went to a pub in London in '69 that claimed to have the most on-tap beers in the world.... it had 3 separate bars to accommodate them all. Another beer we have on order is Aktien Landbier 1857 Helles. I love the ornamental bottle top. It's more expensive than I'd normally pay, but I figured 'wot the heck, not getting any younger and I wanna try every beer on the market.... minus those fruity effers.
