Eh, I believe they are tweaking the save game system for everyone who's complaining. Why you guys are complaining is beyond me, just drop by the saved folder every once in a while and clean it out by "hand"... doesn't take more than a few seconds!

The battles in Imperium Galactica II didn't occur in the "mainspace", though -- the rest of the galaxy was "on pause" while it processed. And let me point out that the battles don't have to be 3D, but they can be even under the current setup.

Just to point out, but ATM both compressing and handling save games is a "low" priority. They are currently sized the way they are to make them human-readable, for example. This is a beta, not a final game, yada yada yada... The devs know and have responded to your exact question Just clean out your saves from time to time (documents and settings \ your name \ application data \ ironclad games, IIR

But its too late to join beta 2 by pre-ordering. If you do, you will have to wait for beta 3. But if you want to join beta 2, you have to buy it by tokens. Hey, I thought the idea was to mouse-trap more people into buying! So if ya gonna warn him off, try mentioning that Beta 3 is supposed to start up pretty soon -- end of the month. Ish.

Just push the culture back with your own broadcast centers yes i know watch the little red line crawl across space. OK, you can always try waiting for the next build...

the hardest thing to do is sit there and attack the same planet 10- 15 times or more before you can actually capture it. Just push the culture back with your own broadcast centers.

Well, ron, with a robust enough "Fleet Programming" language, that should be no problem. You could set if "If (Target) is Fleeing towards (Star B) then (Chase) and (Destroy)". You could also Set "If (Target) is Fleeing towards (Star A) then (Discontinue Pursuit) and (Return to (Patrol Zone))". And all of a sudden, this isn't an RTS anymore, but something else <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/B

Still, trying to say that the support requirements for Tacital and Logistical structures are vastly different is pretty damn contrived. Um, not really. They are, after all, totally different types of structures. Military structures are designed be shot at, civilian ships (and structures) are designed for maximum efficiency at their designated roles. Additionally, civilian ships can take trained people off the civilian market, whereas milit

Chasing the pirates that "run the blocade" and jump towards my interior, for example. So long as I can differentiate between pirates (chase 'em while in grav well, but if they jump out let the planetary defenses take them out) and other players (who presumably are either scouting my systems and I want them dead, or have a serious assault force and I really want them dead), thats OK. It'd be nice -- but not likely to happen -- if I could specify "

First the range sucks even if you put them near the jump gates they don't seem to be in range of ships that jump in at times cause they don't reach the end of the gravity well. Because that way waaaay to easy to "exploit" according to the devs... personally, I think they need to play with the jump formation a little if thats the case, because in my larger fleets my Kodiaks (at a minimum) start out in range -- some of my other, more fragile, ships do so a

uhm... im guessing giant holes in the planet and all plant life and buildings destroyed and lava flowing out of the ground isn't clean? Clean as in not radioactive, containing no irradiated materials or spent nuclear warhead.

and again the tec capital ships, according to the story line are only traders that have been redesigned to warships. True, but the fact is in wartime, those large ships are just very large bulls-eyes. They may have been effective in peace time as bulk carriers for stuff like ores and textiles (big size, little cost, doesn't "perish"), but in war all they have is a great big target on them which counteracts the advantage of having a (presumably) lower

Besides, planets don't get nuked ... that would leave them utterly useless to you until the radioactive fallout was gone. Your ships actually just launch HMVs at them (Hyper-Velocity Missiles) at, oh, a "large" fraction of lightspeed. Most of the effect of the nuke, but 100% clean!

3.6 (total) What does that mean? Are you adding the two cores together there? I'd love to upgrade my Ram to match your 4GB... in fact, I think thats the next upgrade I'm getting (followed closely by Vista to use DX10 on my GTX, a new case, and maybe a new HD that runs faster than the HP "hand-me-down" I'm currently using).

I doubt Phalnax811 is a senior, maybe a junior. Mostly it's seniors that take AP English, at least at my school. The rest is Honors or Academic. In my HS, pre-AP started Freshman year, and actual AP started Junior... 1) Warcraft 3 Eh, ok, but I did not like their micro focus. 2) Command and Conquer 3 (their online play stuff is a pain to set up) I real

(i did start my own thread on this but it hasn't shown up so i have reposted here where the action is.) Actually, yes it did show up. (edit: As shown by the fact that you edited it to point here sometime between last night and this morning) You just need to be patient, this forum is rather... slow about showing those things. The "home" button takes you to a place where new stuff shows almost immediately... the sub-forums can take up
