It could be with how I post in Korean on this site. I can't actually type in Korean. Well, I can, but it's a blind hunt and peck method. I never learned the Korean keyboard. What I do is type the SKATS and then use a macro build into my normal.dot file to convert it to Korean. Then I cut and paste to the article here. Could be that since it's just a conversion thing, it's not being picked up as a true Korean font by netscape. I know that I have

While doing some preview work for a class I would be teaching this morning, I was looking up the Chinese roots of some Korean words so that I could better explain why they mean what they do. Well, I was trying to get the meaning for Ä¡ (öÇ) when I got a pure Korean word I was unfamiliar with as a definition. So, I looked up the pure Korean word º£Ç®´Ù. We

When I was a kid, tampons were used as hand grenades when playing Army. Pull the string and throw! My friend and I would wear pads on our shoulders when playing football, too.

When I click on the "My Blog" (http://chiprj.joeuser.com/) link in the upper right corner of my blog, I get the page that says - Hello, JoeUser is still currently experiencing some scheduled downtime in order to help facilitate the release of our new strategy game ¡°Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords¡±. We apologize for the inconvenience. In the meantime, feel free to visit www.galciv2.com to see what the fuss is all about, or www.winc

That's odd. There used to be three gaming/comic stores years ago. Guess they all closed down. There was one very near one of the gates (the gate closer to the school house area) right along the road that fed into that gate. Another one was near the college, in a little strip mall thing that had no more than 5 or so stores. There was one more near the Hastings. Sad to hear that they may all be gone.

While digging through some boxes to find something that never turned up, I found a forgotten treasure. It was a plastic baggie filled with all the pieces to a Monopoly game and box of flash cards. I knew exactly what I'd found as soon as I saw the baggie and pulled it out of the box and took it to my desk when I finally gave up my search for the original item. <

I'm going to split hairs here. All these extra "pays" that are being discussed here are not, in fact, pays. They are allowances. They are not tied to job performance, nor are they tied (in the whether you get them or not sense) to rank or time in service. They are tied to outside factors that are qualified for independantly from performance, rank, time. Foreign Language Proficiency Pay (FLPP) is a pay based on language skill. BAH/COLA/FSA are all

The funeral on 28 Feb was my last for this rotation. I volunteered for it last week since the other NCO's had all done at least one that week already. I was told that it was a two man service in Moss Landing for a Navy veteran. There were only two Sailors at that practice and one was scheduled to do a full honors over the weekend, so I asked the other Sailor to com

Well, between preparing for one of my classes to graduate, laziness, and the release of Galciv2, I've fallen behind in updates. I've actually done three funerals since my last update, but my most recent will get it's own post, just like I usually do. The other two funerals I did were two man funerals in mid-February. The first was in Monterey at a chapel ju

I've never really ever been much of a fan of the Rolling Stones. I realize their impact on music and all. I'm just not a fan. So I am biased in saying this. The halftime show sucked. Plain and simple. The Stones sounded old and tired. Hell, by the end of the set Mick sounded winded. I was chatting with some friends online during the
