Howsabout I put some points here?

Actually, I am pretty disgusted by GTA, or are you suggesting that it makes no statement at all? Actually, there's a difference between being disgusted by GTA and spewing lies about games and the violence that may or may not be accessible (easily or not) contained in them. Jack goes overboard on this.
I did not write this and it's been a while since I put much of my own original writing up, but, meh, I felt like sharing it here anyways... To hell with my own original writing! A good friend sent this to me in email. Don't know if he wrote it or not, but it's something he might say, so I guess it could be him. World's Shortest and Best Fairy Tal
One of the problems with Jack is that while many people can see him for the idiot he is, he is still being called upon by CNN and other outlets as an expert in gaming violence. He is still spewing untruths about gaming and it's being released by news outlets as fact. While Penny Arcade has a wide readership, it's still just a gaming/online comic site and doesn't have the reach of a CNN. So, some people are in the dark as to Jacks ass-hattery. Hopef
I was bored at work today and had only two classes to teach, so I amused myself by reading up about this a bit on a few sites. Really funny stuff! I love how they pushed his buttons and sent in a check in his name - there's a scan of that on their site, too. The memo says something to the effect of "Donated in the name of Jack Thompson because Jack Thompson won't"
We use Hot Pants (I think, or something very much like them). We just line them with a pad and we've found that doggy pads are pretty much the same as woman pads, so we just use those because they are much cheaper. Link
Somebody posted this link on the guild forum boards. If you don't like Lord of the Rings or World of Warcraft, it won't be funny. If you're into either, or both, you'll be laughing. Really funny stuff. There is some strong language on it, so be warned. Link <!--W
Nice! HAHA! On a slightly (not really) related note, I lived just a short stagger from the very first Hooters ever in Clearwater. First time I was ever carded there was my 21st birthday. It was not the first time I'd ever had a beer there.
Yeah, I was a heavy player up until about 10 years ago or so. Made nearly $2,000 when I finally sold off all my books at a hobby/comic book shop. I do miss playing, more for the people than the game itself, though. It was a great way to spend an evening with friends. Now, I'm a big fan of World of Warcraft. Very similar to D&D in nature. The game is the DM, though, so everyone gets to be a player. That was one downfall to D&D at times.
I've been busy at work since getting back from my TDY trip to Cleveland so it's been a long time since I posted. This may be the longest I've gone without posting since joining JU a little over a year ago. I've even let two weeks go on my fantasy football league updates. As for the trip to Cleveland. It was a fairly busy week. I got my orders late (they
I've been playing with Google Earth for a while, too. Love it!
The military is part of the gov. and the DOD tells them they can't protest in uniform, right? So for a time they sacrifice their free speech rights Not being able to show up to a protest in uniform is not an infringement on any rights. It's the difference between expressing your personal opinion and be
Personally, I've turned down jobs that require a drug test. Yeah, I work on computers...why do you need to know if I use drugs on my personal time? Because it's company policy? Bah, you can jam that policy straight up your ass. I could see if it were a job where there was a potential for harming others (driving a forklift for exa
There's also the 12 months service remaining requirement. It's funny (and sad), but over the past few years I've noticed a lot of SSG's making the SFC list late, late in their carreers. Same for SFC's making the MSG list. It seems as if the Army is using promotions to keep people in longer than the RC
Best of luck to you on the residency applications. Keep us updated. It's good to see your blog under the recent JU articles column again.
t's an odd thing, especially that they're tasking our Arabic linguists when we certainly have better things to do with them... Well, the TAIR Trips we're tasked with are 5 days long at the most and the payoff can be pretty good. From just talking to the recruiters this week, a lot of them have no clue
Little Whip once stole a blog idea right out of my head and posted it just hours before I had planned to do it. No joke. Although I did the sad dance inside, I did comment on it and told her so (not that I was doing a sad dance, but that I'd had the idea).

I dig it the most when people walk down the center of a lane in a busy parking lot. Slooooowly. It makes me happy.
but... didn't that just make more work for some poor Schlub PV2? Yeah, but it's Cav we're talking about here. The unit actually went from being named 5/9 to 3/4 because the guys were having trouble counting to 10... OK, that's just a joke, but now you've made me feel bad about about the consequences o
Why, would they suddenly become Canadians? HAHA! No, to mix their colored rocks up.
OK, so I posted this last year, but I figured in honor of national talk like a pirate day, I'd repost it. Yeah, I'm lazy. Years ago (1991), I was a part of a GASP (Gilbert And Sullivan Players) production of The Pirates of Penzance - The Slave of Duty. It was my first attempt at community theater and it was a lot of fun. In honor of National Talk Like a Pi
HAHAHA... Wait, what? I have no idea what prompted this... I just don't read enough these days...
Red actually... Sounds like Cav. The best is when they color the other side white and then make a little Cav flag rock garden. Used to love visiting the on in B Quad at Schofield Barracks late at night...
Next week, I'm going on a TDY trip to my hometown, Cleveland, Ohio for to take part in a TAIR trip. TAIR stands for Total Army Involvement in Recruiting. I'll spend the week going around to schools and trying to sell the Army and more specifically, the Defense Language Institute. I'm looking forward to it. I mean, free trip home and a week away from the office! W
