Yesterday, a young man in his 20's was attending a meeting with a Community Group of his fellow New Yorkers and a small group of Iraqi's. The Iraq's were there to help the NYers understand their way of life. While the group was standing outside the meeting place and getting re

Of course there will be absolutely no mention of this in the mainstream media.. but at least you can read it here.. An Iraqi man saved the lives of four U.S. Soldiers and eight civilians when he intercepted a suicide bomber during a Concerned Citizens meeting in the town of al-Arafia Aug. 18. (Do you notice the "Concerned Citizens" meeting part?) The incident occurred while Soldiers from 3rd Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, were talking with

When you lose the ability to be human and share human feelings and emotions, why bother. Showing that child that small act of kindness may make a difference in how that child, his family and the people that observed it respnd the next time they see a soldier. The first photo is the same soldier and the same child, he is carrying the child there. Plus contrary to what you hear in the media, not all areas are dangerous nor do all iraqis hate the Soldiers.

This story would have made national headlines if it was a US Child here in the US. But since its in Iraq and shows the soldiers in a good light, you will never see it here. I wonder how long it will take, if at all, for this to make the news. Multi-National Division-Center Public Affairs BAGHDAD – Soldiers captured an Iraqi man suspected of directing attacks against coalition forces and acting as a conduit for funneling Iranian weapons to Shiite extremists. They also bagged a bonus: an insurgent-made videotape showing insurgents aiming and firing Iranian-made rockets at Ameri

Ok, I am constantly told on the news, in the newspaper and on Internet websites how many casulties we have had in the war in Iraq. This month we lost more brave and wonderful young men and women. But how come we never hear how many enemy are killed or captured (since we capture some, unlike the terrorist for the most part)??? The military will not post a "body count" as its not in thier best interest to appear blood thirsty. But the numbers are s

You know I write a lot about how biased the media is. And at times its very subtle and other times is obvious. But none to date have been more obvious than todays headline in my local paper. Here is the Gainesville Soory's (Sun) Headline in the paper today in reference to Iraq: U.S. Military: 14 Troops Killed in Iraq - Now I was looking to see what our military had done so far in Operation Arrowhead Ri
