I stand by my statement: "Notice they post both positive and negative stuff (deaths of soldiers or attacks on our troops). That was my point. They at least post the positive along with the negative. " Is that or is it not more rounded than reporting only the negative? Simple enough point and question.

catoblasta, First you did not watch the video on the link posted. They were wearing masks. No faces shown. Hence no way to link them. Second since when do they have to come into the country through a Customs post? Our boarders are as leaky and a colender. Thats part of the problem also. Going to be interesting..

Yes, but that would ruin a ripping yarn of a conspiracy, now wouldn't it?.... Your the one using the conspiracy word. I never brought that up at all. And the whole point of the article was to point out the difference in treatment of one person verses another when you have "rules". Guess you missed the entire point. Guess you need to go back to school and learn to read for comprehension as well as co

Col Gene, I can't agree with your assessment of the war or it's result. I do know a little about the Army both in peacetime and at war. I don't know where you got the title "Col", but if it was bestowed by congress, you know that every year, peace or war, the Plans makers at every level of command factor in a certain percentage of injury and fatality. Thats outstanding! We are having the same problem and I am going to try them while I work in our yard. I wonder how hard it would be to make a product like that with some type of mosquito attractant and catch those biters that way? Hmmmm

OK let me type this slowly so you understand.. T h e m e d i a t r i e s t o m a k e t h e n u m b e r s a p p e a r w o r s e t h a n t h e y a r e . Why did they not report how many soldiers died in a year when the number was over 2500 for one year alone in peacetime? Because it did not suit the bias of the media and its outlook on our International involvment. Now it does so they report them, knowing th

To all those that say the War of Terror is not real, someone forgot to inform these guys! And amazingly this is from the MSM this time!! Exclusive: Suicide Bomb Teams Sent to U.S., Europe June 18, 2007 4:45 PM Brian Ross Reports: Large teams of newly trained suicide bombers are being sent to the United States and Europe, according to evidence contained on a new videotape obtained by the Blotter on ABCNews.com. Teams assigned to carry out attacks in

" So they were active personnel, but not in cmbat situations." Thats the point! You got it. "Ok, now add in the # of deaths from non-combat causes. Suicides, overdose, car wrecks, training accidents, pneumonia. All that." That does include those. On both sets of numbers. Thats the point!!! http://siadapp.dmdc.osd.mil/personnel/CASUALTY/Death_Rates.pdf <A href="http://siad

The deaths reported were not natural causes and were deaths other than natural. BIG DIfference. One of those (1984) was Russell Smith, 3rd ID shot in the head during a training accident. Thats the kind of deaths we are talking about. I know he was my roommate.

Yes actually it is the point InfoGeek. Why are the numbers more important and being touted as being so bad, when we lost more good men and women in peace time? Dead is dead, no matter where it is.

23 Replies 8,507 Views

Do you know during which period we have lost more soldiers? During the Iraq War or during the Cold War Time from 1981-1984? If you listen to our media, our soldiers are being cut down left and right. We are suffering a terrible loss. Its all you hear of news from Iraq. Every time a soldier dies, its a great headline according to our media. But the facts bear out otherwise. 3415 total d

OK. I went to the press release site and copied the list of news releases for just the last two days. Then I looked at them. They list not only "Good News" susch as captured or killed terrorist, but they also mention soldiers being attacked and such. Seems to me just looking at these two days that the DOD MNF-I news release site list a more balanced set of articles than any main stream media site I find. Can you find anywhere on CNN, ABC, MSNBC or ones like those this type of balanced (good a

" Just don't say you weren't warned when the Americans start getting shipped to the FEMA camps and martial law is declared after the next false flag attack is carried out by the same criminals in our government who orchestrated and carried out 9/11" TBomb your here! Good to see you. This is the sillyest thing I have seen in a while. We needed a little comic relief.

The funny (not really funny but the only term I can use) thing is that many (some here also) accuse the military press of being just as biased. But what I find amazing is they post not only those above that I have cited, but every time a solider is killed or a unit attacked or an IED blows up and injures troops they post those as well. the good, the bad and the very ugly. Thats about as non-biased as I can find. Even more so than the right wing sites and media outlets. BTW I have star

Senator Mitch McConnell, the ranking Republican in the Senate, earned himself an armchair general award over the weekend....speaking with CNN (aptly enough), he was harshly critical of Iraq's progress to date: "The Iraqi government is a huge disappointment," Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell told CNN'S Late Edition on Sunday. <SPAN s

Oh also no one has addressed the issue. Should these 6 be charged as criminals and afforded all of our criminal justice systems benefits or should they be charged as enemy combatants? Since none are American Citizens and some are illegally in the US what should be their status? Hmm let me exercise my freedom of speech again. I say load them up and send them to Gitmo to await trial as Enemy combatants. Thats exactly what they were. Oh and for clarification, they were Islamic Terrorist

OK people get ready. It has come to our home soil again and this could be just the tip of the iceberg as they say. Attacks on our military here at home? If they are willing to try this what will they do next, take a school like they did in Beslan Russia and kill hundreds of our children? Are you willing now to make the sacrifices that may be needed to stop these kinds of things? If we lose 10 soldiers and 50 policement in these attacks is that too many and we should withdraw an
