So its "save humanity" not "save earth
In essence, "one hand washes the other", or as the saying goes, "same difference", i.e., because saving the Earth is saving Humanity!

Everyone do what they can, if they can, when they want to....saving our planet whether or not we are going to be here, 5, 10 or 2000 years from now, (to exaggerate) whether or not it is important to the person doing it, that is what is important.

Thx for the comments! Great for those who participated, and continue to do whatever they can, in their small way to contribute to saving our Earth! [e digicons][/e]

I'm watching Mel Brooks' movie "High Anxiety". I watched this movie many years ago and it is still very, very funny! Harvey Korman, Cloris Leachman, Dick Van Patten, Madeline Kahn are some of the stars with very funny characters in this movie! If you have ever seen it, remember it is the one about the new Administrator (Brooks' character) Dr. Richard Thorndyke taking over the Institute of the Very, Very Nervous! The hilarity and confuse mess th

Fatalist? NO, worry-wart? yes...only natural really. Glad they made it safely! I do hope Jay will be alright. I'll keep praying for him. I did hear that story about women going into strips club to work now. I think it has to do with the amount of money they earn too...I don't understand either, but wow!
Good luck with your protest, if you feel you’re accomplishing something than what’s the harm.
With all due respect Nitro, this is the biggest put down in blogland! You came out with both barrels firing at this great blog about peace. Why do you guys do that? Bloggers like you do the same thing no matter what the topic of discussion. Somehow you guys always have to turn it into some sort of pissing contest. I think too many of you are hanging

LOL! Like you, I tell my kids the same, the only difference is, I tell mine to be optimistic and always look on the positive side and to always, always look for what the experience has taught them. I can be pessimistic, darkly so. I can be the most horrible of people with my emotions. But I have to look at things out of the box, away from myself, and look ahead at what can be. In doing this, it is what drives my optimism. I believe wholeheartedly that the good Lord gives us

Yes, some people made the biggest mistakes of their lives and are now paying for it, and so is everyone else. But they are not the only ones who were greedy, the mortgage companies were, the lenders, the banks, fudging documents and pretending someone making 20k could afford a mortgage for more than 2000 monthly! Come on. They dropped the ball and if they didn't approve all those documents, none of this would be going on. But all that is spilt milk. The things done in the dark com
They did a program on how the economy is affecting children in our country. Come on FS it's practically child abuse if you take away a kids Play Station and kids without the latest sneakers are "dis-advantaged". There are probably billions of people in the world that wish they could be a poor person in the US. That don't make it right, but it's the truth. BTW I like your optimism, keep it up! You provide the sunshine, I (and a few others) will provide the rain.
<
I seriously doubt that all of the millions of people who lost their jobs in the recent year are homeless, out in the streets, with children, no food, no nothing. A few, maybe but lets not get carried away here.
A larger majority have been displaced. They have been affected, and they are in crisis. I didn't realise myself, how many people are living in their homes and haven't paid their mortgages in months, sometimes, years. These are not poor people eit

Charles, you really should read the links I posted above, in my comments. and you will see what I'm talking about. Not from a materialistic p.o.v, rather, children are worried how worried their parents are, or there are some who are homeless and live in shelters, or those that live in shelters that can't find somewhere definite to stay, even being in a shelter. You need to realise that being poor is not the point, or not having cell phone, or some other stuff like that,

I wasn't aware of this at all. I think it is a noble cause. So you were able to stay in bed the entire day, or just for a certain time period?
