ok, your going past the unfairness of fed goverenment, ok. you want to discuss sales tax, property tax etc. Those taxes are not changed by how much you make. Rich people pay the same amount of sales tax as poor. Sales tax is sales tax. Rich buy "more" good, so they tend to pay more tax. The rich have more property, so they pay more then poor, but it's a flat rate? Do you think there should be an adjusted sales and property tax? Are you for elim

This is an interesting post, I don't understand what your really saying though. Over the last 4 years the top wage earners got a the biggest tax cut, yet shoulder more of the tax burden then in anytime in history (which simply means everyone got thier taxes cut). Interestingly, the top 1 percent's share fell to 33.89 percent from 37.42 in 2000, even with the tax rate rising from 27.45 to 27.50. The reason is they made a lot less money then in year be

EMEA, short for Europe- Lets just end off at your military is weak, I will give Canada the symbolic gesture of military support in afgan, what you could bring to Bosnia, and the limited support you could give to Iraq. The good news is, The US will never let anything happen to you, and you guys know that (just like Europe knows it) You think your economy is in good shape? hhmmmm US- GDP- 38k per capita Total GDP- 11

Historyishere, They are on top; they should have to pay the most? How much of their money should they be able to keep? Better yet, why not take it all? Think of all the tax breaks you could give everyone if you just took 100 percent of the richest income, hell, no one else would need to even pay taxes for a year that way. If you think 100 percent to too high...what is the correct percentage you think people who do well for themselves they

I trade votes with my wife who is a "D" though she is a pretty Conservative Democrat. So, I traded my Governor vote last election for a senate vote from my wife. I also voted for my first tax increase ever for schools with a trade from my wife as well. After all the trading I vote... For all the R's that are running- No R's?, I vote for libertarians no L’s?, I vote Independent no R's L’s' or independent’s?, don't vote... Vot

Wow, I was reading this article thinking you were a conservative. I think it is safe to we have kooks on both sides. I just love to watch the protests of Bush, calling him Hitler, or that he uses WMD’s or he is a murderer/baby killer…etc. So, I would like to put all the kook’s aside for this debate and get to your real questions 1) Is it a fair stance to just vote anti-Bush? I am going to say it is fair to do that, but I would never vot

The question of the day, I don't think it will be anyone too exciting but, might be someone we don’t expect- His first choice was McCain, Not sure if there was a rope a dope or what, McCain introducing Bush at Fort Lewis saying "He is the man for the Job" will hurt Kerry across the board. It was a big gamble to talk so much McCain behind the scenes, then Have McCain standing with Bush so soon after. Lessons need to be learned there.

BakerStreet, More then that, it does look like John has been doing very well in polls of late. The interesting thing is he is not activly campaining much, and I never see him on TV. This election is going to come down to George W Bush, and nothing else. Kerry does not need to stand for anything to win, he needs to do...nothing. Looking at the current poll numbers with the lack of any view of Kerry is very telling.

Now that is the problem for John Kerry. Who is he? The reason is he being slammed about changing position is because he truely has. Sound bites with John saying he voted for the bill before he voted agenst it are very effictive. But those ad's really should not be effictive on a canidate like John Kerry. We have a very long record to look at and see what he stands for, the problem truely is he is not running on his record, he can't and have a
