Buckeley still does. But you are right, he is not considered mainstream cause he does not hate America. Ask David Frum about that... he has accused many of the paleoconservatives like Buckley and Buchanan of being un-American because they have been critical of Bush and the war.

Does that mean that Republicans/conservatives don't? I like to think that I chose to believe the way I believe, regardless of political party or label. I am not a sheep or a lemming, than you very much. I also happen to be very conservative in my beliefs, even though I did not set out to come here. How

Well, everyone knows that the Grammy's have been fixed sometimes. No word of it a lie. I am trying to remember the questionable win... it was like the daughter of the chair of the nominating commitee or someone in a position of high influence at the Grammys.

http://www.newpantheon.net/ Supposedly, the anti-grammy... don't know just yet.... like the fact that nominees have to have sold less than 500K records.

Still, their din gives the appearance they are voicing the "silent majority." As a Catholic you should know that the Vatican long ago put evolution to rest. We hear a lot about th

We hear a lot about the fundamentalist (lets call them what they are), but they do not control the right, nor do a majority agree with them. You would agree that they are perhaps a little more... vocal... than the relative population they represent, so they seem to represent more people than they

But I was always under the impression that McCarthy was a rabid anti communist, and not just doing it as an attention getter. As more and more information comes out about him from people who worked with him, his private correspondences and other pieces of evidence, it appears more and more likely that h

Well, I would compare it to the Tipper Gore thing and Song Lyrics, instead of McCarthy. I don't think Tipper had designs on the White House... or another well known moral crusader rival in the same state she had to try to outdo. I used McCarthy's name because of opportunism, not because of sco

But I am also willing to admit that I am wrong. I don't think I've ever seen, heard or read her do that, and given her persona, I don't really see her doing that(unless it suited her interests). Again, people on the other side do the exact same thing.

"I love to engage in repartee with people who are stupider than I am," Which means that is a very small group of people indeed. That being said, I think she certainly should have been able to speak at that school. I LOVE this gem from an interview she did for some Canadian news program(I've actually seen this, not just read it). <TABLE

You scored as Modernist . Modernism represents the thought that science and reason are all we need to carry on. Religion is unnecessary and any sort of spirituality halts progress. You believe everything has a rational explanation. 50% of Americans share your world-view. <table border='0' width='300'

Only thing I really don't like about him is his current connection to Hilary Clinton regarding Gaming. *holds back the rant about the whole thing*

The original War of the Worlds story was a critique of European Colonialism(with the Martians being Wells' Europeans). Spielberg... I think he lost that thread....

I hate to be the bearer of bad news... but Fox is introducing a very scary thing.... Skating with Celebrities. I think the promos should have the theme music from Jaws on them, because as a concept it is scary AND it bites. Be afraid, be very afraid. *wishing Fox would bring back quality programming... like when Lawn Ornaments attack*
