The kids had a great time writing letters and decorating the envelopes today. The longer we did it, the more I was getting excited. Just the thought that all the soldiers in Iraq who will be receiving these letters will hopefully be blessed. One of the little girls came up to me and said, "Mrs. Rae, thank you. Writing these letters makes me feel like I'm making a difference in some one else's life." I almost cried. I just hugged her. It is days like to

I'm hoping that they enjoy writing the letters, and that the soldiers do like them. Shawn also said that for the soldiers, if they aren't busy, they usually write back. Which would be great for the kids to have some one to look up to like that. These are all children whose parents just didn't want them, or also that were aggressive with family members or other people, and they need some kind of role model. Hey! I want a bedtime story! Send her over! lol. . . Maybe I could have my little sister read me a bedtime story! Good thinking Splateaux. I liked your idea. Um. . . Alysia hasn't cried as much today now that I started her on the formula. She seems to be eating better and sleeping. I'm Loving It! I spent time with Shawn today, without talking about what we should do about the crying. Alysia has one more appointment left this week. Then her next one will be in 2 weeks. She's grown so much in the past 3 days. I have a dumb dumb que

Shawn. . . You made me laugh and cry at the same time. And this is one of the many reasons that I love you as much as I do. You're my best friend. I'm glad your home. Alysia and I are so lucky to have you. I love you too, and I'm also looking forward to many more years. BTW. . . if you're wondering when I managed to slip in here to write this to you without your noticing, you're in the shower. lol. . . I love you. Emma
