One weird thing I've noticed with Win10, and I'm not sure if it was happening on Win7 or not as I didn't have Winstep Nexus installed on that PC when Win7 was on it, is that I always have 309kb of out going traffic if nothing else is going on. Yes, I have various programs that supposedly have shut off the Win10 feature of using my PC as a torrent site and it's also turned off within Win10 itself. If I disable the connection it goes to 0kb. Task manager also diesn't show an

I hadn't heard about this "anniversary Update" before. I checked my machines and none of them have updated to it. Even when I have them check for updates they all say they are up to date... Not that I'm in any hurry to have MS screw with my systems some more but thought this odd based on reading others here have it, not counting those that did the manual install.

My assumption, and we all know what they say about assuming..., was that this is a feature. I think the developers wanted players to be more invested in using the resources and therefore created a new class of prototype ships that must be built first in order to have the "knowledge" to start cranking out the ships we were used to always having. I've found that once I build one of them the others appear and are able to be built. I could be talking out of my backside here but that's my

Is the behavior back the way it used to be, and if so, is this intended? For example, having a constructor with two or more modules on it, when you build a starbase they were changed to having the 2nd module be part of the startbase so you don't waste a movement, now with this patch (maybe with the previous one, too?) the module is back outside the starbase and you have to move it to the starbase again. If this is intended, I prefer the previous "fix". :)

This has been going on for awhile for me (at least since 1.7 if not a little earlier). Under the Power tab in the right upper corner, I have not been able to select the last race listed. The scroll bar even looks like it can go just a little farther but it can't. So I have to go open the Diplomacy window in order to communicate with them. I have a resolution of 1920x1080 and the normal sized UI is being used. </

As the subject says. My survey ship was sent into a wormhole and appeared on a different side of the galaxy, but it is invisible once the jump is complete (my ships are red colored): EDIT : Forgot to mention that once I moved the ship one square it became visible again.
And your sure it didn't go through a wormhole.
Enter a wormhole along its' originally plotted path and appear a little farther down along its' originally plotted path, each and every time I've seen this? Yeah... no, no wormholes. Besides, it was not surveying, only exploring by my direction. ;)
Are you playing an insane galaxy.
Nop

This has happened to me in the past but I neglected to comment on it. At times, I'll send a ship, and it doesn't matter what type but in the below example it's a survey ship, to an area to explore and I'll focus my attention elsewhere and a couple of turns later I'll go to that part of the map to check on the ship and notice that there are gaps in its' path where space has not been exposed despite traveling through it. It's a bit annoying to then have to go back ov

Thanks for the nice looking update. I had to laugh as I decided to get back into GC3 today (had the day off) and started playing this morning to check out the changes of 1.8. So of course you guys released a newer version today! After playing 100+ turns I didn't feel like starting all over so I'll have to wait to see what this one is like. :)
I object to complaints based on a player's compulsive completeness syndrome. You are not compelled to reach peak production on EACH planet. You make that choice. Just because you CAN doesn't mean you MUST. I have large empires on Insane maps and plant a ton of economic bases. In between war campaigns, it is something useful to do. With the starbase module request system, it is already a littl
Thanks. Now, speaking only for myself, there are numerous features that I think GalCiv III needs before I think it'll overwhelm GalCiv II in every way: Espionage MUCH Deeper economics (goods, services, people) Politics More sophisticated diplomacy <

I completely agree! Love everything about GC2/3 but the end game tends to get monotonous. The Dread Lords have been extremely disappointing for me. Not once have they ever been a significant challenge. either the AI kills them off before I even meet them or they spawn right near me and are killed off in a few turns... In GC2 I was always scared of them and they became my #1 priority, and still do, but they are never something to be feared in this iteration. Hoping that will change and that th

Are you talking about the "Colonizing Events" when you colonize a planet? If so, I just colonized my 43rd and got the event as usual. No mods, just custom races (no Gauntlet's this time) but with no custom ships or anything like that.
