LOL Nice way to look at it. I just checked and I now have 222 hours. What a deal!!! :)
Thanks again for doing this. Repost: I'm curious if it's possible, in the ship designer, to have your mouse cursor create a larger popup image of the part you put your mouse over. I play at 1920x1080 resolution and many of the parts are very small in the area where you select them. It would be great/convenient, if it's not a hassle to do and is considered worth while to do, to have your mouse cursor bring up a larger image of the part it's hovering over.
I think it was the issue of the game crashing if you tried to add any modules to a starbase while playing the Drengin. At least I'm hoping that's what it is! :)
Yes, I've experienced this myself. The temporary fix/solution is to save your game and then reload it and you will then be able to invade the planet again. Try it, it works.
Can we get a list of the questions in a clear list in the first posting so Adam can see them all at a glance without having to scroll through the thread postings When the stream goes live? Perhaps categorized/outlined by subject matter? i think this thread is a good idea. Lets hope it works well. [e digicons]:)[/e] Thank you peregrine23 for setting this up!!!
In the orig
Uh, it's 3 threads below this one: https://forums.galciv3.com/457665 . You can also see it on Steam under the game.

Huh, I haven't seen this in the 3 games I've played so far on .42. Are you guys sure that there were no ships in orbit around the planet?
Yes, confirmed. As Iridian, building my first starbase causes the game to crash each and every time. Really bummed, too, as I finally lucked out and had (large map, tight clusters, occasional planets) lots of high scoring planets all in my close proximity, found 3 fighters very early on, everything was going my way...
well, I just posted a bug report on the starbase crash. With the Iridium I can get it to happen in a new game on turn 2. (Rush build constructor then construct starbase... boom!) I tried all the other races (including Drengi) and was able to build the starbase on turn #2. So for me, at least, it's just the Iridium who cannot build starbases.
Will have
Thanks ID!
I'm playing Terrran and am on turn 661 and have built many starbases without any problems. I have had invisible tile objects that were built by other civs that I found once I captured their planet:

Still waiting on the YouTube version.
Any plans on working with the last set camera view and zoom setting, in addition to the sensor range of certain custom ships when loading a save game? Right now, when we load a save game, the camera defaults to a zoomed in view of your home planet and any ships you have built with added sensors don't have their increased sensor range enabled until you eject a ship from orbit. Would be nice to have the last settings of the camera view, zoom setting, and sensor range all saved to the game f

[e digicons]k1[/e] I also like this idea and think it would be very useful!
I'm not sure how I feel about the tech ages yet. I've definitely felt their constraints and it's made me do things differently than I would have normally but I'm not sure I'm ready to say get rid of them completely just yet. We've still got a bit of time before the release so I want to see what more they wil do with it before I pass final judgement.
... Damaged ships regain their health very slowly. Since shipyard can now idle. Is it possible to introduce a "repair" mode instead of shutdown that would accelerate the health regain rate of the ships within the influence sphere of the shipyard?
Hmmm, I missed this the first time you posted it and do like the sound of it. Yes, please, what do you guys think of this idea? Feasible? Balance issue?
For those who opted in - do we need to go in to GalCiv3 properties in Steam and switch it back to normal?
We didn't the last time I opted in but I just got home a little while ago and saw that my game still hasn't updated with the latest patch so I'm starting to wonder now myself...
We will make this more clear to the player, at the moment it dose not warn you in any way.
Thanks. I also decided to "cheat" and loaded a save game to see if I could offset this or at least delay it by buying an entertainment center (I was already at 70% approval) and a consulate to try and help with the influence and it made no difference. I think the only thing that pissed me off about this was the fact that the shi
