Thanks for the reply but that really didn't answer my question.

As the subject says. I'm wondering if there is a way to by-pass the current launcher in 2.5. The command line that worked with previous versions isn't working for me now. Thanks!
Get more legions onto a transport? Before, all you needed to do was dock at a planet or shipyard and you'd get the popup to load legions. After an invasion or two your legions start to get depleted. Now when you dock it doesn't happen. Is this by design or a bug? Thanks!
I dare say I'm having more fun than you, Frogboy! I have a lot more time to spend with the game than you do and I've been enjoying the hell out of it since its' release. I've logged more than 3000 hours on it so I better be enjoying myself... ;) I much prefer turn based to real time, too.
This problem still has not been fixed. It is showing up on 2.5.
Yes, I've noticed this as well.
This is just personal preference. I would love to have the Auto upgrade of buildings be 'off' by default. I know a few of us were wondering were all the durantium went after researching a better factory. I am part of the old school, let me micro each planet crowd. Can we at least put a setting in 'setup' to have auto upgrade all planets (on or off) at game creation? <
@Avatar137 try using ccleaner to wipe the registry and everything else that the game has left behind even after uninstalling... something similar happened to me once with Civ5
Thanks for the suggestion but I did do that and no difference. But I actually figured out what was wrong! After uninstalling and reinstalling for the 4th time and still having no luck I looked at the Steam option "Set launch opt
Have you verified files? Are you launching from steam or did you make a new shortcut?
I've verified the files several times. I've completely wiped out the install 3x and reinstalled. I've launched from Steam, I've created a new shortcut and tried that. The launcher never comes up... So I tried starting the launcher manually and still have the same issue... Very odd as I've wiped all traces of the program from my c
Wow, I've really screwed up my install. Even uninstalling and reinstalling won't make it work for me now, I keep getting the missing .exe error when trying the beta and haven't gotten the launcher working again...
Quoting Avatar137, reply 13 Hmmm, downloaded the beta and get an error when trying to start saying an error occurred while updating GC3 (missing executable). Hmmm, downloaded the beta and get an error when trying to start saying an error occurred while updating GC3 (missing executable). I then verified the game files after opting out of the beta. I then tried opting back in and got the same result. Verified again with no difference. No mods have ever been used by me either.
Hey folks, The 2.32 patch is now live with some perf improvements. You do NOT need a new game for these improvements. However, if you are still seeing long turn times, please submit your save game to support and we'll take a look. <span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; background-color: transparent; vertical-align: baseline; white-spa
Ah, I was wondering what little patch came our way...
They are still pretty slow for me. :( I thought they had gotten better and I haven't even gotten as many turns into this game as the last one where I timed how long it took while in the 400s. Being in the early 300s I had the Yor take over 90 sec. to resolve their turn... Edit: i7 4970K @ 4.8, GTX 970 SSC, 32GB G.Skill DDR 2133, Win 10 Pro
Update (7/26) Fix for issue where AI gets semi-permanently stuck "in a trade", preventing the player from starting a conversation/trade with that AI.
Thank you! That one was particularly annoying...
You don't need to start a new game for the changes we released yesterday.
Cool, that was my thought but wanted to make sure. Thanks! Be interesting to see what changes I notice as I approach the same number of turns my last game had where the turns were taking 2+min.
Updates (7/24) Optimized the code determining whether a player or AI knows the existence of an object (major MAJOR performance improvement).
Just curious, would a game started with this beta realize these improvements with this release version or is a new game required in order to experience the improvements? Thanks.
I've been getting very slow turns in my late game. :( In the low 400s and I basically walk away from the computer for awhile when it's the AI's turn, yes, it takes that long. Ticket with saved game submitted #TWU-292-57039. Still loving the game though! EDIT: Just had some free time and decided to time it. It took 2 min. and 14 sec. for the turn to be over. Both the Yor and The Flow took over 45 sec. each to get through their turns. This was turn 418.</
...We have some stuck turn and MP bugs that we want to get out to you before our next release...
LOL Gee, thanks, how kind of you! ;)
I picked up Total War: Warhammer as I've always been a fan of the Total War series. This one is quite different from the others so I waited... I also picked up Cold Waters, a sub game but it wasn't on sale...
Question: Once I've assigned a Commader to a ship, how do I transfer them to a different ship? I encountered this situation the other night where I attempted to assign a Commander to a small combat ship, but the Commander was instead assigned to a medium support vessel instead, which was really inconvenient as I didn't have the logistics capability to have a pointless support vessel in my task force. It happened twice.
I had only previously reviewed Crusade, just went and did my 2nd Steam review for GC3. So this lazy SOB finally got off his a$$ to share his opinion. Hope it helps!
Why don't people ever think of the poor AI and ITS needs? [e digicons];)[/e]
LOL About an hour ago as I was feeling a bit impatient about the turn time in my current Ludicrous map sized game that I'm playing and I actually thought how much the AI must bitch about how long it takes me to do my turn! Yes, I take a lot longer than they do....
We at Stardock would really appreciate it if you haven't already reviewed GalCiv III on Steam to take a moment and do so.
I've never reviewed a thing with Steam, but did so a couple of weeks ago. That's how much I like and appreciate Crusade! (Please deposit funds to the usual account... ;) ) That last part is a joke for those who are humor challenged! :)
There also is a problem with how the game patches (at least when u use Steam): If u select "no beta", it patches to 2.133. If u select the "patch 2.14 opt in", it patches to 2.2. This should be addressed.
Uh, it is being released today. They weren't even awake when you posted this...
