Clinton did not take an oath to OBEY the Regulations and orders like GWB did when he was commissioned. Oh, so somebody who dodged the draft can serve nobly as CIC, while someone who used familial connections can't? You have an odd view on things, Col!

WWJD, the acronym for "What Would Jesus Do?" is basically what Catholics call Charity. Doing good works or practicing Charity now that you've given your life to Jesus, do what He would have you do and do this for the rest of your life, one day at a time. Catholics believe we must "endure until the end" with our faith Heb 11:6. You know, while I'm very nondenominational in my doctrine, the longer I live, the greater love I have for the Catholic Church. I
ALL BS in the world can not alter these facts. ANY officer in the military worth anything can no0t condone the actions of Bush and to think that such a person is now Commander-in-Chief is unbelievable. Especially in light of the stellar and noble military service of his predecessor (rolls eyes!) And just what military experience does your gal Hillary bring to the table?
I do expect to see some fit throwing if any of the other Dem. candidates go to church in the quest for fairness though. If they use it as a campaign stop and I get the story, yes, I will run with it! I have no problem attacking the hypocrisy of all comers on this one. I don't think that you hate Hillary because she's a woman. I just think you hate Hillary. No, I have no feelings towards Hillary whatso
It pays to let them know you are thinking of jumping ship. Sometimes. I'm reaching the point where I'm worth more than my paltry salary, and tried to discuss the possibility of telecommuting while I work on my Bachelor's, but the big guy wouldn't have it. Barring about a 50% salary increase, there's no way I can even consider staying on. Meaning they stand to lose both the head of PC repair, AND their senior tech.
I make guests use the Mac. MAC: I'm a Mac! PC: I'm a PC! MAC: I'm so simple, tjesterb lets his friends use me! PC: I'm...err, speechless!
You seem to have some particular group of folks in mind here. Yup. Read the blogs closely, and you'll find 'em (or in the case of JU, usually "him"!)
(They definitely aren't buying his books. I figure he's sold about 12 total, all to himself....) Yeah, I've said it before, I'll say it again...it's pretty tragic when the left, who is DESPERATE for some sort of messiah, won't even TOUCH Col. Gene!
Just for the record, Loca, I expect yours' and others' "Poor Hillary, she's JUST a woman!" campaign slogan to actually BACKFIRE! What better way to make Hillary look utterly weak and incapable of running the country? If you so desperately want Hillary to be at the helm of the country, you (and she) better get used to this. What I have had to say about Hillary is no harsher than anything that has been said about every one of our leaders in the past.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the concept, there is a school of thought among Christians that is often referred to as the "grace only" Christian. Basically the theology of this group is based on the idea that because we are saved by grace, through faith, nothing more need be done by a believer to get into heaven. Sounds nice, eh? Sound like a group you'd like to be part of? Not really, because, see, this "grace" is only extended to their own little clique. They've made a wo
I don't have a problem with Bush going to church. You have a problem with Hillary going to church. No, actually, I was pointing out the double standards of the media. But don't let the FACTS stop you from your "He's PICKING on her!" rant. By all means, continue to be deluded into thinking that I dislike Hillary because I'm a closetted misogynist, Loca!
OK, so it's only a problem when BUSH goes to church. I realize that to you, Hillary Clinton pees rosewater, Loca, But my point was and is that the left constantly harangues the right for using the pulpit to advance their campaign. I'm not asking for a different standard here, just an equal one. The Republicans don't own the church or the religous vote. No, they don't. But neither the Republicans NOR the Democrats should be claiming th
I remember countless tyimes throughout the last several years when our sitting President would invoke God. The far left would shout from the highest rooftops that he was violating separation of church and state by making his faith public. That's why I find it compelling that one of Yahoo! News' lead stories features one certain former first lady's attendance at a Methodist church in Des Moines Iowa, without a hint of the irony of the article's appearing without sharp criticism: <
I have to think there's some balance there, emp. It is my firm conviction that God IS a just God, and that He has a special place for those who suffer in this life. In fact, yes, I'm sure of it. I think that's the whole point of the Beatitudes. I don't understand all of it, but I believe God offers hope to ALL, and has special compassion towards these people. Or (yes, I know, I'm going to Hell for quoting Richard Marx) to quote the lyrics from the one good song from an otherwise banal a
and i wasn't Yeah. I figured as much.
so Get over it. He was joking, and I simply joked back.
Also, I GET PERSONAL EMAILS FROM AL GORE. I bet you don't. nah nah nah nah boo boo. (ok, not personal, but they do say "Dear (insert first name)...) No, I just get personal emails from Ron Paul! LOL!
Really? Who would that be, Carter? Clinton? I think American's (and China's) glutony caused the current oil prices. What do you drive? A hybred? An SUV? A 8 mpg Hummer? DEMAND is what is causing our current problems. What is it detroit has been churning out? It's not about WHAT you drive, joe-pro, but HOW you drive. We drive a 99 Suburban because, well, they have yet to make an affordable hybrid that can carry 8 passengers. Our Suburban gets 20MPG, howe
should auld dictators be forgot and never brought to mind... Just don't vote for Hillary this year and we'll be doing fine!
I agree on artysim and joe-pro...I don't have to agree with someone's position to respect them, and those two are hard not to like!
You made one crucial mistake in your post... I'm ALWAYS right...lol!!!
Well, I dunno, but for me the ultimate question has already been answered: WWW Link
I find that most tech support personnel know so little that they are useless until you get second or third level support on the phone True. I, however, am pretty good. But I can't install a modem over the phone, I can't restore a hard drive over the phone...I mean, c'mon...defaulting and rebuilding a router over the phone is bad enough!
Aeryk reads hate into everything and everyone, Para, even other Christians, (who couldn't POSSIBLY be as good of a Christian as HE is.) They're all bad, you see, deluded, misguided, heretics, demons and apostates because they aren't AERYK. I can attest to that. I've been condemned as a heretic by Aeryck. S'ok, he's neither the first, nor the best, individual to call me a heretic.
Emp, I believe very firmly that God designed us to minister on His behalf. As a matter of fact, the New Testament says as much. I believe that many times when innocents suffer it is because of failure on behalf of the chirch. That is not to say that ALL of those times can be chalked up to failure on behalf of the church, but most occasions I can think of stem directly from that. As to those that do not, well, truthfully, I can't give you a good explanation.
