Iwasn`t really interested in baiting anyone around here but I did want to express a certain disatisfaction with these stardock apps. As I tried to articulate before, I found that DesktopX had to be running in order for it to mantain the whatever it has applied. StyleXP does not have to be running. After making changes to my desktop, I found after restarting that I would get my old desktop back for a few seconds until DesktopX kicked in. StyleXP`s changes are quite independent of it being running

Correction, I meant to say that CursorXP screwed up my default xp cursors. I have my resolution set at 800 by 600. I used DesktopX to set a theme, then after going back to me default desktop settings, my desktop grid became screwed up which was corrected after restarting.
DesktopX, WindowBlinds, BootSkin, just overinflated apps in terms of functionality I`m afraid. I am now just as happy as can be with StyleXP. (hey, it rhymes) Problems? I was disappointed with DesktopX having to be set to initiate at startup in order for the theme to be loaded. Once StyleXP sets a theme, it`s set whether StyleXP is loaded or not.
