I think Atari needs all the money it can get right now. now that atari is no longer making games, maybe they will sell MOM to someone else and we'll get both stardocks game & MOM2!! i can always hope!

i really hope Pollux does a fantasy 4x after LE is released. if they decide to move away from sci fi for their next game, imo it makes sense that they might move in that direction.

too bad there was never a lords of magic sequel. it had a lot of potential. i was/am also hoping for other sequels to great games such as majesty, fantasy general and kohan (a true sequel to KAG not the lame KOW). i think it would also be awesome if the guys that do the total war series do a fantasy total war game. warlords 5 and wbc 4 will also be done assuming that i2 can find a publisher for them.

dont know who has seen this already but stardock *IS* developing a 4x (tbs?) fantasy game but can't call it mom 2 because they could not obtain the rights from atari: per Yarlin from stardock "We currently have no plans to work on a Master of Magic 2, sorry." per frogboy from stardock "It's not likely we're going to do a MOM2 due to the licensing issues with Atari at this stage. thanks for the reply (even though it's not the answer i was looking for!). i sure hope that Stardock pursues this genre as i think that you would do a great job. well made games with good ai's are very hard to come by these days (especially in the tbs area).

improve ai, diplomacy and graphics in that order. i understood that the focus of the project was to keep the same game as the original but improve certain aspects. perhaps the title MOM2 is misleading as it is more of a new and improved MOM than a true sequel.
