I'm sorry to hear of such a thing happening to you shades Don't count yourself as a fool, or stupid for having had this happen to you. No one can avoid being fooled at sometime in their life by someone who lies. It happens in all walks of life, and truthfully, some people out there are VERY skilled at such a thing. I very much agree that you weren't wrong just like Andy

Great article. I've been thinking along those same lines for a few years now and it's always erked me. Especially things like not being able to have a "whites only" scholarship to match the blacks only scholarship. We can never achieve equality if we don't truly believe and do things in equality.

I also believe that the good ones stick around. It's just not to easy on the dating life though, because normally I want to get to know someone even just a little bit before asking em out to get to know each other better.... I've also learned that being shy like that, and being the "quite" one can push some people away because it kinda freaks em out. It doesn't mean they are bad people, but that they just aren't comfortable around

If only I could figure out why I'm so shy.... It's not a lack of confidence.. I have a good self image... I think I look fine and am attractive enough, and a smart and sometimes charming person. yet every time I go out for a night, and meet new people I clam up... It's not that I don't want to talk to the people.. but it seems I've built up a pattern of waiting to g

Oh Las Vegas. I've yet to live here a week... but the town is already starting to grow on me. Though technically I'm not living in Vegas, i'm living in Henderson, which is attatched to Vegas's hip and I can look north and see the Strip only about 3 miles away. Well maybe more than 3 miles away... I've learned that I'm bad at judging distances out

Hmmm...... Now Sally... i don't want to judge... but From reading that I noticed a good number of sex terms!! Are you uhm... randy?? (I couldn't resist.. ) Though I believe I knew most all of the terms that were listed above... though I've watched a lot of UK comedies... I'm man enough to say I like Ab-Fab...... Media does play a role because it's soemwhat showing the things of "popular society". Most all kids want to be popular, because being popular brings attention. Attention is what most people in the world crave. You can't fight it because that's just human nature, to want to feel loved, nurtured and etc.... Though I have to agree on the point that parents do play by far the MOST important and influential side of things. I learned a LOT from

*sigh* Well a big part of my not responding much seems to be I just cannot get the damned "Q" quote button to work!! About the whole "Would people want to read this" thing you have it basically right. There was an exception to the rule (as there always is) that you can still ask yourself that question but as long as the answer doesn't matter to you then your still blogging for yourself, basically me reiterating what ya said in reply <img src=

Well I think the thing about not getting responces to things that you think deserve more talk is just difference of opinion. Or maybe just people tired about such a subject, or not wanting to get into it.... I know a lot of the time I read an article that I do find really intruiging, and start to type out a comment on it and write out this huge long page of text and realise how much I've typed and how much more I want to say and normally just

I by far believe it to be that quality of the games is more of what's dragging down the sales. I myself have uhm *cough* pirated some games... and in truth I'm damn glad I did also. Because a lot of the games that I pirated just plain sucked, and would have been a total waste of my money had I actually bought them. (of course it is only my opinion that they sucked... ) Th

Oh lordy.. I've learned about what your talking of V.V... I'v eonly been in Vegas now since early early Tuesday morning but a lot of the people out here seem to be uhm.. really shallow. Not to mention aimed at going to the clubs/bars just to get smashed and such. And don't feel bad... I have the same problem your having except that I'm a guy instead of a girl for a few things are reversed.... hehe

I thought, or could have sworn I read that Edwards lawsuits were all for malpractice on not performing C-Sections to prevent Ceral Paulsey (omg.. please avoid the horrible misspellings.. I hope it's clear enough to make my point at least ) THough I don't know who I'm going to vote for... On one hand I do like Bush in some ways.. may not be much of a public speaker but neither a

Well I got a job offer today for working in a field I'm good at and enjoy... (webpage design and server hosting)... Only kick is that it's in Las Vegas... me being in Massachusetts makes that a bit of a haul for a job.. It's a garunteed.. and I even have a friend living out there and such.... would be a great thing for me..... Though due to where I'm

Well to be literal.. Yes it would be ok for ya Little Whip.. because it's the CONTEXT the word is used in that makes it offensive. I have a black friend myself.. and I many times will say "Your such a nigger!" to him... but do it in a joking and laughing manner and he laughs right back at me for it because he knows I don't mean anything at all disrespectful by the use of it. BUT... society in genral doesn't much care for context so ge

*hugs* Yeah things like that can suck pretty bad And really sorry to hear about your friend distancing him/herself from you, things like that always suck and hurt ... Keep your head up! Do what ya gotta do to make her see the light if ya have too... but as ya said.. only if she'd be receptive to it.. no point doing something to help them if they don't want to help themselves.</f

Hmmm.. I am short.... and somewhat round... Oooo I'm soft AND fuzzy!!! (Picture 1/2 chewbacca!) But I'm not large eyed, and only talk in a high-pitched voice if kicked in a bad place.... But crazily enough the list is basically right on And I must admit.. harmless things are kinda boring.....

One of the major things that comes into play on any internet website/game is the fact of being an anonymous entity. Your either a person behind a name, or a toon (if from a game... I'm an old EQ addict so had to state that one ) and the fact is that the name or toon hardly does relate to your character in real life. Yeah you can be exactly the same... but normally it just isn't so. Fo

LoL, well if y a want Sally I'm sure I can post basically the same thing I did the first time again It's a topic I'm very very familiar with from playing MMoRPGS..

It's a very good article. I have to agree with all the points you make too. I've seen the alter ego thing happen many times in the games I've played and then actually meeting the person face to face it's a totally different person. Obviously it's not always done for bad reasons.. and I don't believe most people are being fake either... I think it's just one of the quirks of the anonimnity(sp?? actual word??? <img src="../images/smiles/big

I think I'm the cause of Sir Peter's double post... I posted something, then re-read your article and noticed I'd gone off on a tangent that was totally unrelated and not within in the proper discussion area of the thread, so I went and edited and deleted it to clear it out and repost... Sorry about that and you'll have my other reply in a little while...
