I did thebest I could in reporting them.. Along with marking them as innapropriate I also sent an email regarding each and every one. I have a brother serving over there and I myself could be sent at any time to go serve over there and find that totally offensive. I believe in freedom of information but when you are showing the bodies of someone's dead child like that it's just going way to far.

I have to offer 3 choices.... Dark Side of the Moon... obvious... Metropolis 2000 PT 2 by Dream Theatre And Powerslave by Iron Maiden... Though my wife has me listening to 7th son of a 7th son and that might end up taking over powerslave.. though I do love the song Rime of the Ancient mariner.

Hmmm.. and here I am probably the small guy in the discussion.. LoL I'll tell you this Mason, just because you might be big.. doesn't stop me from cracking jokes I'm just one of those guys who won't crack a joke with someone until they know me. I figure it rude to do so beforehand because of the fact that it would be construed as some random guy coming up and making fun of them.

*sigh* I'm really starting to think I really am a republican Though I still hold to a lot of my normal beliefs, those guys were insane. I admit 'some SOME' of what they toted made a LITTLE bit of sense, but most of it was drivel...

Well as we're told all the time.. Hydrate Hydrate Hydrate.... is the best way above all to prevent feeling sick like that again. After the first time I got heat exhaustion I followed that hydrate rule and havn't gotten it since, and have worked through some crazy hot sunny days... ANd even taking a break in the shade or AC every once in a while is sound advice also. Keep on working hard Though Mason. You got that Old School work ethic like

Well I can't deny what your husband see's just as I can't deny what my brother and friends have seen.. Though admitedly after re-reading it, it was one of my classic drunken rambles... I think it was mostly lit off by reading too much of the crap on here about Iraq... I can't deny that it's a cluster fuck, we went in trying to do one thing and have done it totally wrong. I still believe though that progress is being made and that

I have a lot to say about Iraq... and most of what I have to say about it aimed at civilians who think that their opinion is the 'only' right opinion on it... I won't go there. Did it turn out how we expected? Fuck no... does that mean we should just disappear and leave the iraqi's to themselves after what all we've done? I've heard a lot of opinion

Nah, it seems right all that she is doing... it's just hard from the parenting aspect to do that.... You hear your kid crying and your first response is to instantly do whatever it takes to stop them from feeling that pain... no matter how old they are.. it's just something built into us... sometimes we just have to let them cry though...

Hey, holy shit... been gone from the states for 6 months...You'd think things would have changed a lot for me because I'd been around so much but nothing really has changed..... I still have a wife who loves me dearly and whom I love back dearly... what more could a man ask for than that? Nothing in truth. You will evaluate life a lot more when you are awa

M-Post's wife again! He's been keeping in touch by almost daily emails and weekly phone calls (when he can) and we are more than a month through his deployment. He has sent me back some beautiful pictures of places and some interesting stories. So far so good. No serious injuries or illnesses, no big problems besides an A/C unit crapping out in his b

This is M-post's wife. He was so busy the last week or so, getting ready, he didn't get a chance to even look at a computer until the night before he left, and by then he was exhausted, so he asked me to make a quick post to say that he has left for deployment. I don't think he can access Joeuser from the boat, which bums him out to no end, but I'll be send

Well we have a suicide watch, they just didn't put him on it. THey just told us it was a flight watch to keep him from going UA.. So we weren't as watchful as we would have been otherwise.. like letting him go to the head and such without supervision...

CS3 was one of the first people I met when I was first coming aboard my ship. He was open, caring and a great guy. He welcomed me and told me of his family that he adored, and asked all sorts of questions about where I came from and seemed genuinely honest and open. After a while on the ship I started up cranking. This is where your put to work in the Gall

Well.. Here I am again. I just got back from a very hectic 2 week's out. We went to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. Let me tell you it was FUN... the only sad part is the whole time I was wishing my wife was there with me =( She'd have loved see'ing me actually dance... (which is a very rare thing, and I'm sorry if this makes you jelous Love..) Yes I got a

I think the problem is that the 'noisey wheel gets the grease' thing...... Those who bitch therefore get more publicity... or maybe it just seems that way to me.. a lot of new media targets seem to be the 'whiners' of socieity.. I can sew... I was taught when I was a kid, and again taught when I joined the Navy.. You don't think of it as such a demanding and serious skill until you are actually doing it. Then you learn just how much that

Well and here I am.. Married now for what.. just over 4 months now.. and I look at going out for 6 months real soon... just over a month actually... My wife hates it. Don't get me wrong. She's deeply loving and so supportive that I could never ask for more from her. Yet I know all the same she hates it. She doesn't want me to leave for that long, just as I myself don't want to leave her for that long. Yet neither of us really have a cho

I dont know if I would blame Hollywood. We all have it to a degree. But it is the wise ones that live the maxim "dont judge a book by its cover" that learn to get to know people before passing final judgement on them. Well the problem is how to do such? It's hard to do so no matter who you are IMO...<B

Just recently I had a thought. Why is it I will automatically 'judge' some people by their facial features? I'll see a guy with certain facial features and think "he's probably an asshole" or see a woman with certaint facial features and think "she's probably a bitch". I can't figure this out. The worst part is I know through experience that these types of

Hehe, I've seen stuff like this when the Lan goes down on the ship. Since alot of work is now done on comps, mostly via the ships own server.. when it goes down work almost crawls to a dead stop.. Is fun though when we have those nice long down times

Well I see it's been a while since I wrote even the most simple message up here so I figure it's a good enough time for an update. Well lets see. I've had some time out of port recently, and not as a crank thank GOD!! Though was a short little jaunt that just took us out to do circles in the ocean and do a lot of drills in prep for an inspection we have com

I agree. Small steps will add up to HUGE gains if we all just step in. If only we could convince everyone of that, then things would be better at least in those regards...

Ahh another blog. What to say.... Things have been hectic... I've drilled myself way too far into the 'routine' of Navy life for any of it to seem 'all that exciting' for me to think it worthy of a blog anymore.... maybe because now to me it's all just drill and routine which at first seemed over the top and granduer. Alas, though it has all become pure rou

I didn't enlist in the Navy to nuke the hell out of other countries.. but neither did I enlist thinking I was fighting over Gas... You were as grateful a Lady as I'd ever have been willing to personally meet on this one Dharma. It's people JUST like you that make serving worthwhile. Trust me on that one.
