I guess it depends a lot on one's definition of morality, which is where these discussions often derail. But as an example, monkeys will show empathy and compassion to each other, even if they weren't raised in part of the "monkey community" (couldn't resist using that phrase). They're just naturally inclined that way, as are we. They're also naturally inclined to band together and then beat the **** out of their monkey neighbours on occasion, as are we.<

Agreed. I chose Android for one simple reason - a few years from now I will likely want to upgrade my phone without switching ecosystems. At that time, I will likely have a choice between the 2-3 models Apple is offering and the dozens that Android-based manufacturers are offering. What if I don't like the 2-3 iPhone models?

Well, the exact phrase I used was " creepy borderline stalkers." I never referred to men playing female characters as creepy, nor did I refer to hitting on people online as creepy. Stalking is more than just asking someone for (cyber)sex. If that's all it took to be considered a stalker, then bars would be full of stalkers!

Oh, I absolutely believe you. I have a male friend who decided, on a whim, to play a female character in Everquest back when it first came out. The number of creepy borderline stalkers who came out of the woodwork was eye-opening. Glad to hear nothing worse happened with your incident!

I think the ability to post anonymously is an important one. For every misanthrope using anonymity to spew venom, somewhere there's someone living under an oppressive government who's relying on anonymity to be able to speak out against it.
