You mean the people that think that Israel is racist illegitmiate state? I would like to hear those people call for Israel to either be erradicated or compltely change while not ask for any changes among the 22 undemocratic Arab regimes, or the various nations that have deplorable human rights issues, inclduing genocide and modern-day slavery (see North Korea and Sudan). It just goes to show how screwed up some peoples' views are of Israel and what rid

The equation of zionism and racism is one of the many compeletely false attacks that Israel's enemies use against it to delegitimize a country the size of Rhode Island. At the conference in Durban, South Africa for Tolerance (I really don't remember the name) a couple years ago, in what was supposed to be a conference against racism became an Israel bashing conference when some Islamic and Arab groups passed out pamphlets that showed Zionism is racism.

Very well written. It's sad that the world ignores the genocide in Sudan, and reacts to the 'genocide' in Palestine. No country in the world faces what Israel faces daily and they have the audacity to critisizes elf-defesne measures taken with the utmost care for human loss of life. Because of these riduculous doube-stnadards Israel has to fight terror with a hand tied behind it's back, while looking over it's shoulder. The best example, for

But, its hard to say whoses side they would be on, Yeah, because Egypt has never gone to war with Israel. And as for good relations with Egypt--the constent flow of arms from Egyptian territory to Gaza has hardly been slowed at all.

It would seem like someone will disagree wiht you, politically active, and say Israel is an American liability with all the aid we give Israel and the diplomatic support, as flimsy as it may be sometimes. But the real liability for America is terrorism. When terrorists attack Israel and blow up their buses and resturaunts they have the same motive of the September 11th hijackers did against America; that is to destroy a democracy and bring jihad to ano

Who's fault is it that they are refuegees? They have been displaced in wars that Israel never wanted. O G San, I guess it was stupid, but you cannot deny those proposals made by Israel throughout that years that would call for Israelis to leave most of the West Bank. If you think Israel won't move its own civilians, look at Sharon. He wants those Israelis out of Gaza badly. Whether building Israeli towns in the West Bank was ill advi

If IDF troops left the West Bank, there would be no rationale for Palestinian violence... it works both ways...but it remains to be seen who will be the first to give the inch that leads to peace. That brings us to the question that no one wants to answer honestly...What was their rationale without IDF

It's not as if every road is closed to the Arabs. The ones that are would be for security reasons. If they didn't shoot at Israeli cars they would be free to travel. In fact, Israel has made roads underground (tunnels) to circumvent the constant shooting and rock throwing coming from Arab houses and towns. As for international law, and illegal settlements, I assume you are talking about Resolution 242. A little unkown fact about that resolutio

The few in Gaza will go and four small ones in the West Bank. The 'few" are 8,000 people that are being displaced. As for the growing settlements, they are being expanded onto barren land and no Arabs are being displaced, unlike the Israelis in Gaza.

The real path the Palestinian Arabs need to take is not only non-violence, but also the acceptance of Israel. The cause of the violence now, and all the violence that has preceeded this current war is the refusal of the Arab world to live peacefully next to Israel. You mentioned the peace process and Oslo, but think that settelments are the root to the violence. That is terribly wrong. The first suicide bombing occured right after the Oslo Accords were

We should make sure that we do not make this an anti-Muslim discussion. If we were to do that then we would have similiar intolerances that the terrorists have towards us. Having said that, I agree with Kuperman, and many other, that Islam has had problems since the beginning, starting with the slaughter of the Jews in Medina. Now, if you were to look at a map of the world, wherever there are the fringes of Islam there is war. In southeast Asia, India,

Of course anti-Israel is not anti-Semitism, but we are talking about the Iranians who constantly state their desire to wipe the 'Zionist entitiy' of the map. They are anti-Israel because they are anti-Semitic. Here, the two go hand in hand.

To The Torah True Jews Adolf Hitler was an envoy of God, sent to punish the Jews for their sins: "IT IS COMMON KNOWLEDGE THAT ALL THE SAGES AND SAINTS IN EUROPE AT THE TIME OF HITLER'S RISE DECLARED THAT HE WAS A MESSENGER OF DIVINE WRATH, SENT TO CHASTEN THE JEWS BECAUSE OF THE BITTER APOSTASY OF ZIONISM AGAINST THE BELIEF IN THE EVENTUAL MESSIANIC REDEMPTION." http://www.jewsnotzionists.org/holocaust.htm The people represented on that w

Very true, and a point of clarification, these Imams and teachers are told to teach them what Arafat wants. That is the way it works in the autocratic PA. And these kids are told that their life has meaning. The best they can do: become a martyr.

The PA uses money given to them by the EU to give their kids textbooks that preach the death of Jews. The goes for what Arabs can watch on official PA TV where Imams say that they should kill Jews wherever they meet them. The reason this kid didn't mention anything about the lives he would have taken just shows how the Jews have been dehumanized through the eyes of terrorists. What is really scary is that these children are taught that their lives ar

I guess the only way for Israel to legitimitally have nuclear arms if we give Arab governments them. I think the pressure (if you want to call it that) the UN is putting on Iran completely unfounded. Why should they have them too? This world is so unfair. I can't believe dictatorships can't have nuclear weapons!

Kingbee, Palestinian Arabs are no more Palestinian then the Jews who lives there until 1948. The fact that they want to establish an Arab state called Palestine is very interesting. Never has there been an independent state called Palestine. Nor has there even been an independent Arab country on that strip of land either. It was always ruled by outsiders. The word Palestine is Roman, naming what was Judea after the Philistines, who were not A

it is also very important to understand why Israel feels the need to have a nuclear aresenal. David Ben-Gurion said that this was the only thing keeping the Jews from a second holocaust. Israel has been under attack since the day [before] it was established. It's nuclear weapons are clearly a detturent. Never have they threatened to use them. Israel has faced enemies and has had a much different conflict then any other nations that has nuclear weapon

As I said, I agree that not all anti-Israel accusations are ant-Semitic, although many are. But what I was attempting to do before was to ammend what you think happens when Israel fires upon a buidling or when confronted by a gunman. Anti-semitic or not, Israel bears the brunt of so much unwarranted critisicm. Anti-semitically motivated or not, Israel is held to a higher moral standard then most other countries and armies in the world today.

Soltair, Your point in saying that methods that Israel uses should be the same as the rest of the world, and when Israel acts harshly there should be condemnation. But first of all, Israel still does get more attention fwhile there are much graver human rights breaches in other countries. Secondly, the tactics you mentioned does happen with a few details added. When Israel rockets a building they generally warn the inhabitants to flee. Many d
