There were mixed feelings of relief and disappointment when I finally made it out of that jungle ( see previous blogs) and was handed over to some friendlies who were to guide me to an airport north from Mindanao where I was told I would have a “restful transit point” before making my final exit. For one thing , I wouldn’t have to take those darn chloroquine tabl

about common colds, you can actually get relief from drinking a lot of liquids (preferrably non-carbonated 'coz it's bound to just bloat you) or breathing menthol-based vapor. There are a number of antihistaminics for home use and only for those tablets with the phenylpropanolamine generic label would I advise caution. At the height of the cold, some people actually experience more stuffiness every time they blow their noses, since the paranasal sinuse
If the right wing has gotten so strong, I'm sure they'll fly using their most common resource -- hot air. That's why we need you for the left wing. PLEASE give us a candi
what's the antidote for coconut wine? sleep, I guess. The funny thing about it is while you're sharing coconut wine with the men (the women watch from the sidelines) over stories, you don't notice it kick in. It has a sweet aftertaste and the only time you notice that you've had one too many is when yo
the region is even more similar to the balkans than id realized previously well, actually, although part of the region I described is Philippine territory, some are in the neighboring countries which have a similar landscape and reachable if you like island-hopping by power boat. a very good and helpful article, Champas. -from an economic lefty -4.38 and a social libertarian -3.38.
i'm glad you love so many things! yeah! That's 17 hate's versus 22 loves. That makes you a net +5 love person
I'll try to follow thru on the scientific implications of this thread. We don't know much about black holes and how these physical entities suck energy in that may lead to a different dimension (?) or world. Might not the energy from the present expansion of the universe summate to the energy being sucked in the black holes so that our present universe is rebirthed in another dimension - a sort of recycling, just so that it conforms to Newton's Law ? I
I thought there was something to this article, then I read (or tried to, at least) your long-winded reply, and now I don't where you're going. Come to think of it, I don't even know where you're coming from
Congratulations, Maso. Kudos as well to those who've discovered how successful they already are.
Take some time off from each other but keep the communication lines open. Relationships start off in a romance phase and has to evolve to its next spiritual plane to survive. You're both approaching this crossroad. Some decisions on commitment have to be made. There's no escaping it.
There was a lot to digest the past few days and I don’t mean just the crazy food I encountered. I mean there was bangus , their milkfish, tilapia , far better than any grocery store version (mainly because it was freshly caught), those one-armed but fat crabs and finally what the drinking male population there called “jumping salad” – freshly caught small
Pray tell. The problem has always been making the right choices, which really isn't easy. Love is beautiful. Marriage is serious.
Stay safe, man. We'll be reading from you.
"Girls Just Want To Have Fun" at the funeral ?? Now the way that would strike me is I'd have this irresistible urge to take a sneak peek at your casket, watch for any signs of breathing and see if you'd (or your body) react if I poked your arms, thinking, "Is this for real or is she really having fun?" As for the kids' names...how 'bout nicknames? ...JU, anyone?
after all the serious stuff (yes, include the dramas too), it's nice to get an insight on light "girly-girl " topics like crushes. Ane before you glow red, remember the beauty of blogging is in your anonymity, and unless you're being stalked, people just like to hear what you have to say and take your thoughts on their own merit. Just pour your heart out and be sincere. Oh, yes, don't leave. yikes! This is one of those unavoidable doubles. A

a lot of americans dont have a clue thanks to the lucky accident of having being born here. I'm probably fortunate in being able to look at this "other world" up close and look forward to coming back home when things get done. It is a life-changing experience. Y'like noodles, Kb? I've had mostly noodles
I cannot comprehend it, living in those conditions I know, and I also know from reading around JU that not that many people realize this as well, so I just had to share it. Just glad it didn't go unnoticed. I would've answered earlier, but (again) even in this day and age, internet access isn't tha

One of the oddest (yuckiest ?) experience I’ve had was when I had to hold a small town meeting somewhere in a depressed area of Southeast Asia, trying to engage the locals into a little bit of public health discussion - you know, basic sanitation and hygiene and all of that stuff. It wasn’t that they couldn’t figure things out by themselves but moreso because of the f
I had that same experience, having to watch my Dad after heart surgery until he was back on his feet and dicharged for home. Before it came to that relieving conclusion, he had to be sent back to the OR, where they reopened him and of, course, it kept me and the rest of the family on edge. The fact that your Dad has his tubes out say something favorable about his prognosis. My prayers are with you and your family.
Well, it’s back to work and away from all that good food, family and friends and into the real world, which is as exciting as it is depressing, challenging as it is frustrating. So before flying out of here to head for some islands, I said, how about a blog or two in between packing , heading for the airport and yes, waiting at the airport(s). What came to
Hey, the future's looking up for JU!
in this era of cell phones, texting, sms, people have really developed their thumb function so well that it outpaces their need for pedantry (alas.) . Brevity and economy has been the norm to the detriment of spelling for mobile phone users where some countries could charge more for an added letter. As for a parting (wounding )shot - c u l8tr
