I think the combat should in fact be done in 3D, for the following reasons: -That way the combat and the normal game would be different enough to make things interesting a bit longer (but only this is NOT enough) -In MOM1, the way you aligned your troops at combat didn't really matter. With a 3d combat ground, you could make use of hills, trees, etc (ever played with myth? :) ). But!: -Terrain would only come to use if combat lasts long enough for you to mount positions

Yeah There should be races (at least on I say) which are not pickable, having one is only possible through conquering barbarian towns. And it shouldn't be able to produce settlers Now that would make the game interesting, conquering a town because of having a new race and not because of another darn micromanagement issue :) You should put in stuff like that, for example conquering a town because it was built on some special place and it has some kind of bonus like a wonder thingy in
Okay boys (I'd love to see girls saying whohooo, MOM was a great game :) ) Enough talk about why MOM was soooo great, let's talk about what YOU think was WRONG with it. I am one of those MOM fans, who still play it under dosbox, and one, who playes it until the sun comes up, so don't take me for a badmouth. And I always play it in impossible level. 1: battles were cool, but, after a while the small battles got real boring (for this reason I didn't conquer cities after a while,
use DOSBOX (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net) to run the game with sound and all, under windows (98,2000,XP) I've got an AMD Barton 2500+ and it seemed slow, but that's just a config problem (I mean I guess it was ment for older games) all you have to do, is set the cycles (in dosbox.ini) to (in my case) about 13000 (default I think is a few thousand) OR press the CTRL+F12 under dosbox to increase cycles until it runs smooth If you've got an older machine, and dosbox eats up all cpu pow
