All I want for Christmas is more info on MoM 2. Season's Greetings everyone.

This thread is almost too big to completely read thru, so I could be in error in stating this. However, on a differnt forum, someone had made a comment the Stardock was going to make a fantasy 4X game after GalCiv 2 ( link can be found here http://www.gathering.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=24088). Also here is quote from that thread (hopefully it is in the correct context, would not want to misquote someone) Brad Wardell - We're still in negotiation on the various fine points. S
Any new news?
I have to strongly disagree. It is a afterall a 'fantasy' game, to ban demons and angels, especially if it is on Judeo-Christian religous grounds is just plain silly. Who is to say what mythical creatures or other fantastic races are not offensive to other groups? This is going to be a little tongue-in-cheek, what if someone argues against having a race of 'dwarves' or 'halflings' because those are deragotory terms to the 'height' challenged.
Negotiations continue. Just a matter of all the legal stuff.
Now that is what I call a teaser. The earlier post mentioned Civ, is this teaser about Civ or MoM, or for that matter since Atari buggered it up MOO?
Have there been any hints as towards when Stardock will have a web page for MoM2? Yes I am impatient ;)
From the front page Sunday, October 24, 2004 - Paul Kerchen joins Galciv II team and then on to Master of.. game Paul Kerchen, best known for his work on Whirlingchair games and as one of the lead developers on the Simcity games has joined Stardock. Initially he'll be working on the new Galactic Civilizations II planet screen which will be a radical improvement over the rather limited and lame GalCiv planet screen. In Galactic Civilizations II, the plan
Let's us not forget Atari is not Atari, it is and always will be Infogrames. They merely bought the Atari label to dupe folks who have fond memories of the old Atari. I would like nothing more than for Stardock to make this happen but Infogrames has a horrid track record, one need only look at the MOO3 debacle, and the botching of the highly anticipated Temple of Elemental Evil.
Earlier ... unless I am mistaken Frogboy hinted at a masterofmagic.com, is there any ETA on when this might happen? I think it would generate a lot of interest across the internet once the web site was set up.
"I think we're going to do it" I am too stunned after reading that statement, have waited a long time for a developer to remake MoM. Best of luck Stardock. I extremely happy that I signed up for Dengrin net now. [Message Edited] [Message Edited]
