Finally Microsoft gets on the band wagon. They've been slacking lately. I actually believe the "Slacking" was on purpose for the benefit of *Intel..giving Intel time to produce their 64bit processor and keeping AMD from gaining most of the market in that area..it is what I call "Dirty Rotten Business" .

Well Hazy, I finally did it..I installed Trillian. I use Nortons Internet Security Suite "05" No probs there at all. It took minutes to Download and install. (DSL) It uses ALOT less resources than the other IM clients do (MSN, AIM etc..etc) I have to say all in all it was a very "painless" installation, and a breeze to set-up..AIM Yahoo and MSN seemed to configure without any trouble at all. 100$ is more than enough for a home OS. I can see a Pro version being wort 200$ and a server being worth 500$ or so, but I doubt any home user would buy an OS over 100$. And how much would a 300$ OS make a new PC's price increase I have to agree Paxx...I sure wish MS would!

Well..I know it is possible at least Island.. I have downloaded Cursor packs all packaged in one .xpcursortheme file.. Consequently I have had to change the extention back to .zip and install each cursor pack one at a time of course... I dont know if it's acceptible..::laughs:: but I do know it is possible. Zero.

As far as price vs performance ratio, Intel has been behind for 5+ years now. For 90% of the consumer market, there's absolutely no reason to spend the extra money on a P4 over say an AthlonXP. Well I for one can certainly see the logic in buying a chip that I cant use to it's full potential. su

Pax is right...Plus! LoL..I use that very same cursor and if I am not mistaken it is one of the themes that you have to rename after you download it.. Replace the .Zip extention with .curxptheme extention and everything should be fine! Zero.

Actually Sid, in all honesty, I am *very happy that AMD is around and putting out at least a "decent" product.. Intel is the "big kid" on the block however and does have a very solid reputation, as Astyanax1 has pointed out. I personally have nothing against AMD and I am seriously considering building a box using one of the new AMD processors on a Soyo MoBo... Unfortunately I do think that Intels version of the *Dual Core processor is
Just tried the restore in the folder. Still have 2.07.330 build 85, but now it seems to be working. I have 2.07.330 build 86* and it's working fine.. It is odd that on some PC's it works fine and others it doesnt,I wonder what it could be conflicting with on the other machines... Zero.</fo
