It's because the name of your pc, spelled backwards is GIR-ISM. Now, I'm not completely up on my 'ISM's but I reckon that MP is pissed off due to the GIR of the ISM. If you were to have a more creative name, like SHP-SKN or STMP-HMPR it might see the reality of the operator a bit better and realize that it needs to take extra sensitive measures to avoid having KYJLLY smeared on it's keys and monitor. Glad to help out ol Friend!!!

Daiwa, thank you for taking the time to explain it from your stance! You provide legit concerns and points that unfortunately fail to sink in to the brains of the politicians and corporate giants. You, as well, are outside of the "pond scum" realm. The ones I've been so colorfully referring to are just simply arrogant ass holes that think they are above following policy, and that is their only justification. I've seen many of them and the below mentioned corporate entities
EHR's are garbage and mostly unusable in any meaningful sense
Now that depends on the product you are using. Where would you be without a good PACS system? Would you rather go back to film? I know that McKesson / Horizon products are a complete and utter disasters that do NOT play well together at all. I've seen some EHR products that the physicians actually raved about though. <p

I would also like to point out a very important detail that I should have brought in from the start.. DrJBHL.. IS an upstanding and ethical man. HE gets it, and in NO MANNER at all should be lumped in with the cesspool of pond scums that I mentioned earlier. If you've been hurt by this post Seth, take heed.. you are outside the scope of these rants!!

In my first comment I stated "at minimum.. 30%" of the physicians I knew. That means that 70% of them were stand up, great people that honestly cared. Now... I don't give a rats ass if they know medicine better than IT. OF course they should!! HOWEVER.. they think the rules

Until upper management is knocked off their pedestals and held accountable for their actions, then these things will happen. I also poin

I used to work for Community. Let me assure you, at minimum.. 30% of physicians will share their passwords with staff, spouses, etc., install random software on their PC's, visit malicious websites, etc. Do you think they are held accountable? NO. Do you think they actually care about what they are doing or the necessity adhering to policy? HELL NO. Their overall IT infrastructure is a joke at best. Community is EXTREMELY dishonest. They recently settled with the federal g

One thing that would occasionally frustrate me with Win 8 start menu (the native one, not a start 8 one) was the inability to launch 2 or more instances of an application by clicking the tile. One application that I do this with frequently is Putty. I would always have to explore to the programs executable and launch the second instance. Well, here is a little registry tweak that will allow multiple instances to be launched (assuming that the application support it). Go here..
