I might have jumped the gun on this one. The last time I ran SD, it connected, and I still had the firewall on and in place. Regardless, I think you'll have to set sdcentral.exe as an exception in the firewall. It won't prompt you like it does about other programs that try to connect to the 'net.
Just as a heads up, even if you set the new Windows Firewall to see stardock central as an exception, it will not connect. You will get 1001 errors. You need to turn off the firewall whenever you want to find updates for SD Central and all the games. SammyBoy
I have an odd occurance with SD Central. It seems that once in a while, regardless of what version I have (this has been a common thread for the last 2 weeks of latest versions), SD Central will just not load. "sdmpc.exe" will be in the process list, but that's it. "sdcentral.exe" won't be, and if I try to load it again, same thing. I can't run the debug, cause it doesn't show up either. The workaround thus far has been similar to the fix for galc
Running WinXP When I try to log into Stardock Central, I can select that I already have an account, but when I hit continue, it just sits there, nothing happening. The app seems frozen, but I have to go to Task Manager to kill the process, but it doesn't say the app is not responding. It this cause of server overload?
