I might fix myself an adult hot chocolate later on. Otherwise Ryan and I are just home alone. And I'm hoping to engage in some other adult activities much like mod myself, because I'm married and I can, dammit! Woot! Happy New Year to all!

People spend thousands of dollars on therapy to figure this stuff out. I'm not saying that some people don't have illnesses or circumstances that prevent them from making these choices, but for the most part, I think most adults are capable of doing these three simple things laid out in your article. I don't remember ever reading them, but I know that I myself had to go through those three things to pull myself out of my little "funk"

That sounds cool, K. I, too, have never been able to keep up a journal for any length of time. I want a record so that someday if they want someone can read it, but I just can't stick with it. And I don't see myself as "prolific" as you are to be able to combine the prose and "honesty" as you say. Keep us updated how it's going though. I liek the idea of leaving a gift for those in the future.

I'll never, ever take responsibility for another companion animal. It's a shame you feel that way. I think you were a really good daddy to Socrates, Mason. And what happened was an accident. It didn't happen because you yelled. It happened because he was a kitty, and that's what kitties do, you know

lol...they're ALL way cute. I especially like the pink tulle ones and the combat boots one.

Jeez, Mason, I'm so sorry to read this. I really enjoyed reading about Socrates' antics in and out of the rig. I think about all the kitties we have in the shelter...I know that you miss Socrates and you need some time to mourn the poor little guy but I wonder if you'd consider another homeless kitty to share your abode sometime? He seemed like such a good little companion for you, even if the stinker did spill your coffee <img src="

Well stated, dyna. When I was younger, and much more greedy, I was all about the quantity and the quality of the gifts. I wanted a LOT and I wanted good ones, too, dammit. Now, frankly, I'd rather you kept your gift to me and bought something for yourself so I don't have to buy you one. I'd rather spend and afternoon with you doing something we both enjoy together than having to buy a gift. I'd rather make a memory than buy you som

LW, That is what I was thinking of as well, if there was some sort of legal standing they had that would let them return the car. We were at Wal Mart shopping when this happened and I called my brother who couldnt find any Buyers Remorse laws for Wyoming. Either way, like I told them "you put a down payment on the car for about 4 or 5 days and if youw anted to take it to a certified Chevrolet or Pontiac mechanic, then that was your responsib

That looks like fun! It's sad you don't have any snow though...I hope you have a little for Christmas! We got about a foot today finally...we'll send a White Christmas your way. I should do some baking/frosting with my students...I bet lots of them have never done that before...

I was pretty proud of myself for the bill of sale. I wrote that the "seller is not responsible for any present or future mechanical or cosmetic problems with the vehicle" which they then signed in front of a notary public. I feel bad that they're not happy with the vehicle. In reality however, the car has made the noise for several years, and I think it's a belt or something. The buyers were aware that we know pretty much nothing about cars

That's so exciting! Don't let his teachers sit on him either...have them in a reading group right away...if that means pushing him into a first grade class for reading, and he's ready for it, then so be it. Yay!

When I was younger it felt like Christmas when we put up the tree. Now that I'm older it doesn't feel like CHristmas till I'm at either the in-laws or my own mother's house. It sucks really. Because the Christmas season is about two days long. It's a disappointment. Maybe when we have kids it'll be better and more magical or something...

I love you truckers, I do, but I think that some of you have a license to kill when you drive 90 on I80 here through Wyoming in white out conditions. A trucker killed two guys in a car this weekend because he rear ended them because he was in a hurry. He drove the rear end of the car up in into the front seat and killed em both. I think he got booked on five counts of something or other. I love you, but you scare me. You're so darn

I guess I don't really know what to say to make it all better, B. I wish I did, but I don't. I wish I could empathize better, but I can't really do that either because I don't have any idea what it's like to have my husband away. I'm so very thankful and grateful though, for what yours is doing. I know that probably doesn't help either. I wish I could take some of your burden so that you could have some peace of mind... Know that
