I've finally seen the video of this incident and frankly, I almost vomited. That little girl SEEMED (I'm not saying that she is) completely coddled and spoiled. I'm also not saying that she deserved to be handcuffed. I don't know what I'd do if that happened in my classroom. I don't have anything in my classroom that can't be replaced, so, I hope what I would do is to take the other kids out and just let her finish having her tantrum. Hope

lol...we're not supposed to wear open-toed shoes or...whatever...there's so many stipulations I don't even know if we can wear ANYTHING on our feet to work anymore. My principal said he doesn't really care too much and frankly, the only thing *I* can think of that might interfere with teaching and learning are those huge stillettos you were talking about. If my feet don't smell when the kids are sitting on the floor in front of me, who really
SHE: Babe...half the fun of the gym is looking. I know no one's looking at me...but it doesn't do me any harm to look!
*addendum* I'm not condoning his actions or his words, either, but even though we've had our disagreements I think that Mikey has some very interesting and enlightening things to say, and I'm sorry that he's gone away.
I'm just large all the way around. here's my advice: Get a pair that fits relatively well and is worth the money and go to the tailor. They can work miracles and they're not too spendy. They can give you some more room in the seat and give you the correct length...
SHE: I know a teacher in my district who met her fiancee at our gym. He's the absolute sweetest guy on earth. Going to the gym isn't a BAD thing... and we've all seen your pictures TW... you're a very beautiful woman, so forgive me for saying this,
I would agree with you on many accounts, B. I'm glad that you have such a wonderful friend.
Was worried about you, Karen. Thank you for doing what you do...and a break for yourself was entirely deserved. Know that you're loved and that I'm thinking of you! ~MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Happy birthday! I hope that you really enjoy your day!
Tex: I have nothing to say but "RIGHT ON!"
Okay...I'll bite. I'm terrified of a big, scary, former-military dads who has the audacity to think that because their only child comes home from school crying and homesick that I've molested her in some way. Pfffft. As for animals...I guess I've never really had a good experience on a horse....and I absolutely HATE bees and mice.
lol! That's quality!
I could go into details about my sex life, but I'm not quite so sure that's what you want to hear anyways... Ummmm...you already gave up TMI. ~shrugs~ It's your life and your emotions, but I really hope that you're protecting yourself and the multitudes against any diseases...
I was sitting in my 9th grade geography class when a friend said she'd called her grandma during lunch or something and heard about it. I don't remember much about watching TV and hearing about it on the news... I do remember the morning they executed Timothy McVeigh though. Sure...the bastard deserved it...but...I'm all about live and let live.

Currently 24...will turn 25 on July 14th (Happy Bastille Day to all the French out there). Quarter of a century...*clicks her dentures*.... As Hattie the Hen would say "Goodness, gracious me!"
Oh lordy...how I miss it. Spring in Nevada is just NOT the same as spring in Minnesota...
Happy be-earlied birthday, Zoomba! My 25th is coming up and I'm realizing how pathetic I really am. Oy veys.
Cares~ *laughs* Several of the kids in my first grade class can't say their "R"s right yet. In our district they can't be in speech for "r"s until second grade. Some of them will get it over the summer and some won't. I've talked to the parents of the ones I don't think will get it, just so they know... And speech isn't a big deal. Lots of times it's just part of growing up. And...I think it's cute for the most part.<img src="../images
agreed... but the folks here are not politicians.. just folk Yeah. That's right. But...I think you're falling into the name-calling, generalization trap...and if you're trying to actually make a point other than "liberals suck," that kind of stuff isn't going to get you very far. ~shrugs~ Ju
*laughs* I think it's hard to get a straight answer from ANY politician...liberal or not.
I think its amazing the amount of people who would choose not to be rich. With great wealth comes great responsibility...so much more is expected of you. Enough is plenty for me, too. But at the moment there just isn't enough...which drives me nuts (sorry...but at $25,000 motorcycle is NOT condusive to paying college loans, doofus!). There are some things I'd like though...maybe not a Mini Cooper...but...hmmm...a trampoline? One of
CB~ My aunt is a speech pathologist. Lots of the kids that go to her speech classes have disabilities in other areas, too--like learning or emotional disabilities, etc. I LOVE MY AUNT for doing what she does: Since she has to pull kids out of their regular classrooms, she'll invite two or three other kids from that class to come to her speech class for a session, so they don't have to sit and wonder what Johnny does while he's out o
Amen, Zoomba. But I will say this...I don't *hate* anyone because they don't share my political views or any other views I have about religion, education, economics, or any other topic for that matter. That's what makes life interesting, I think...and the more diverse, the merrier, I say.
