Prayer in school is NOT a gesture towards equality, it's exclusive. I live in a fairly religious area, but my guess is that less than 50% of children in America's schools attend church or even know what prayer is. How do you know schools teach a "nay" standpoint? Prayer in school isn't going to "fix" the ills of society, unfortunately. As a teacher, it's not my job to say yea or nay to Christian beliefs or any other beliefs. That is for families to decide. I got a nice camera at WalMart for like $90 that's 8.3 MP. It's more portable that our $500 camera, and I'm not afraid to beat it up. The little thing takes pretty good pictures, too. It only has 3x zoom, but if I want to zoom, I can use the expensive camera. It takes videos, and I can take my lovely close ups of plants that I love. It's a Fujifilm...I thought it was a pretty good deal, anyway...

I went to the hospital yesterday before work and got my blood drawn for my three-month check up. I had all my cholesterol done again, a metabolic panel (I think), and my HA1C--my long term blood sugar. My metabolic panel all came back okay--liver, kidney function, etc. My cholesterol and my triglycerides are ALL where they should be now. Why is it okay for students to "flip out," but not teachers? I obviously know the answer to this question. But honestly, teachers have to put up with that kind of stuff EVERY day.
