he is talkin about a incident when starforce posted a download bit torrent link of gal civ 2. So he dls it and likes it... and then buys it. Whats the problem? Achronous>?

Exactly, thats what i like about this game, its doesnt take itself to seriously in the text. BTW i also feel this is what MOO3 should have been, i was all pumped up when i heard they were makin a 3rd one, cause i loved the 2nd one (and i still do). OMG what a waste, i had no idea what to do. Thanks for your apology Psio, but i dont think even with heavy gaming (like i do) that u can go through a vid card in one year. Unless you O/C or dont maintain it (IE keepin your comp clean internally, making sure its not to dusty and keepin the GPU fan clear of debris and clean. Ive been building comps since '97 for people and have not once had a vid card die out there. I my self game about 5-6hrs a day, i dont o/c my vid cards so the are very stable and run every game i own with pe
sounds like a manufactor mistake/error this could be ugly
more factories = "more hammers" for social/miltary focus = "more hammers here" (depending where u have the colony focusing its production) so i recommend focusing your production on that planet to what ever u need ATM, ie- soical/miltary/research or upgrade you factories via research or build more factories on the planet
hmm i have not yet had any issues with activation i just registered my sieral number and download the patchs via stardock central.. of course i bought a ot of a box copy... so ...

I for one tried a TBS @ a LAN party within 5 turns people were bored so we jumped back to RTS/FPS The TBS game btw was diciples 2.
Defently go to 1.0x , it has a new option called gpu throttling, helps a lot of people with vid card issues
Stardock POWNS CASE CLOSSED 90% of EA games have no/late patchs, which are 6-12months after the release . ANd mostly its compatibitly/balancing issues that takes no real effort to fix. Until i got gal civ2 and seen what these guy do (ie stardock) and how they care about how thier customers feel and actually import the customers ideas into the game..
this game is so customizable, there can be so many different ways to set up your race. It all depends on what stradgy you plan on using.
i mean even when you want to stop playin... you get a message "one more turn wont hurt" Brainwashing at its best....

Nope. No interest at all in MP. There are plenty of choices of good MP games out there - but very few SP games worth a hoot. Stardock only has so many people and a limited amount of time and resources to work on the game - I'd rather they spent it on things to improve SP. Keep the MP slider at 0.
See now, I find the current descriptions mildly amusing. So, y'know, I don't want them changed. Same here, i find it nice that they dont take the game too seriously

For all you runnin beta 1-1beta1, its Highly unstable, recommend you go to beta 3, or back to 1.0x, proably fix a lot of your problems. Also if you dont know what a beta is by definition... then DONT UPGRADE TO IT. Cause its a beta after all. IF it worked fine on a prevous ver, go back to that ver and wait for the finale patch to come out.
