I'll spray the house if I even see one mosquito... Endemic, I mean endemic. (not epidemic yet thank goodness...) Apparently the edit function still doesn't work.

>>Nasty little thing though, trust me. Yeah it's epidemic in this region I'm in. (But then it's asia, hotbed for all sorts of viruses these days *irony G*) Dengue fever cases are on the rise in some parts of Singapore these days too. Damn thing is becoming national problem here if the measures taken don't help. It's bad when you get it the first time, it's worse when you get it again. Nasty thing.

I thought modblog looked nice. But I think the interaction here is better. And I don't see a point in putting things online if nobody at all is going to see it.

>> Yep, had it, got the crap kicked out of me by it, and then kicked its butt. Sort of a badge of courage I wear when talking to microbiologists/infectious disease folks. I just love to see the look on their face when they are talking about Dengue and I say "I had that". That is something. >> My wife is now officially full-term (38 weeks). The doctor said she is okay to go into labor any time now. History tells us not to get our hopes

Interesting. I think I shall try to check out those two pieces of music you mention, I don't believe I've come across them. I like having good music in the background particularly when I'm writing. Kinda like having an appropriate soundtrack. The high that one gets from music is easily transfered to inspiring what one is doing at the time. To take a not-so-obvious example, I al

You really need a break, and something going for something new would definetly help break that deadening feeling inside.

Predicatment - you can't tell them the truth, because they would pry even more and even try to make suggestions and that would be annoying. Why can't relatives leave things alone when they can clearly see that we don't want to answer them? They seem to feel that they have the right. Enforcers of societal norms, they don't seem to take too well when you don't do it "when you are supposed to". My relatives are like that. Love to pry and direct

I think even at the easiest setting, Chessmaster merely limits it moves to the basics or it just doesn't plan as many moves ahead, but it's still sharp and unforgiving.

>>They tell me it is because I haven't gone through their ridiculous and idiotic certification process. Now there's a common obstical they like to throw in people's way. Don't matter if you have years of experience, don't mean anything unless you got a piece of paper with a stamp of approval to show for it. Like Jamie, I think it might be the hospital's way of covering their own asses the best they can. Avoiding possible medical liability scenarios that might come up. (Seem to

1/ Upon finding the snow, what is your first thought? Either I got transported somewhere that snows or the earth has flipped. 2/ What do you think you'll do differently because of the snow? No more complaining about how hot it is. I'll do a whole lot more walking. I've been to places where it snows, and I like it. 3/ What will you wear when you go outside? I have some winter wear that I bought for my trip th

Desperate housewives is very fun show, I agree. The first season began over here a couple of weeks ago, and it got the highest viewship for English programs. Guess we are curious what American housewives are desperate about. *G* >>They absolutely don't represent housewives in Amerca. It's all fiction, a big sham I think it's an exaggeration. Like Ally McBeal.

If you can, a cold pill and lots of sleep is all you need to make it go away. I found that if I feel hungry, it's a good sign. I believe that it's just the body using up energy to fight off the infection, so one feels hungry.

No advice on the relationships from me. But on the computer - get a new one, a basic computer, from Dell or HP isn't very expensive these days, wherever you may be, and often is decent enough to play a few good games. Unless you're a hardcore gamer, a super expensive graphics-X computer is not needed.

You could buy him one of those kiddy computers, the one that which isn't really a computer but has buttons like one and usually an LCD screen, and talks. If he's too young for that, there's those plastic ones that makes noises or play a tune when you push a button. If he still likes to bang on your keyboard, you can unplug it - that way it doesn't affect your

I hate using codes in this place. One time I screwed up an entire page while trying to quote. Thus I never do the quote thing.

Sometimes people just want to go their way - like being on a long journey and the people beside you just happen to be going the same way, so you travel close together because you face the same bumps on the road. Then one day, upon reaching a certain fork in the road, they choose to go one way and you another. It's like that sometimes. That's not so bad though. I really hate to be disappointed by a friend. Someone who claims to

On the local news lately, "Most retailers say more and more girls are opting for diamonds as their best friend." Then they interviewed a jeweller who comments: "For some which are just friends, we have some designs just for them which don't scare them off, can start off with something simple and sweet. (I really never knew you would buy a diamond "just to

>>apparently you don't have any rights as an employee. IMHO, if they want to get rid of you, they will use all kinds of excuses. Smoking, email, blogging, sitting in the coffee area in your uniform, taking a lunch nap in your cubicle... yet if they love someone, these people can do what they want - play computer games, make fancy websites on work time, gossip, 3 hour lunches...
