I used to have this issue until just recently after the installation of the Fall Creator's Edition update which seems to have mostly solved the issue for me. I don't know what Microsoft changed in the newest OS, but the desktop only has a minor amount of delay in reacting to user input. I still think it could and should be better but the increased response from the Fall Creators update is enough that it is mostly unnoticeable unless you purposefully look for it. Specs:&

Okay recently I decided to update my password to longer and more secure password. The change password form took and allowed the 14 character password I decided on. When I went to login though using the stardock object desktop manager it would only allow me to login when I typed in the first 12 characters of that password (Same as logging into your site). Could you please either A) fix the change password form to reflect the size limitation of your passwords or B) remove the character limitati
Is it just me or does the new Windowblinds actually speed up the UI. My GF uses drawing applications that run a bit slower in Win8 than Win7 but after WB7.9 was installed these issues seemed to go away. Is WB7.9 overriding the desktop renderer in Win8? Just curious not that this is an issue or bug :) . Just wondering what could cause this positive side effect. (I had her test this by unloading and reloading a skin and the effect was that when WB was unloaded the slow drawing issue came back b
Yeah the only real chance is a DX wrapper program, don't expect anyone to make one though. Because what it comes out to is that you would have to make the program think it had the hardware it needed using the wrapper to accurately as possible draw demigod to the screen using what is actually available to the system. Basically it is a pain that no one really wants to tackle (in Windows), with the issue that it is also painfully slow. Given your computer doesn't support S

.. It is telling you that Demigod is trying to create a copy of the D3dDevice context and is failing. Only things I could think of would be to make sure DirectX is up to date. You can get the latest version here. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=2DA43D38-DB71-4C1B-BC6A-9B6652CD92A3&displaylang=en and make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. Otherwise it might be that your graphics card doens't support creation of the D3dDevice context t
I was playing around and noticed something about Demigod in Vista. I found that Creative Alchemy effects Demigod (DirectSound is being used) which means in Vista there is no Hardware Acceleration, No Surround Sound (Stereo Only), Limited Positional audio etc. From what I have read Fmod can use OpenAL which would allow for Hardware Acceleration and Surround sound audio which for a game like Demigod would be the Ideal solution for Vista and Windows 7 users and basically any future Windows OS's
Well we should note is that the 9200 is a DX8 (No shader abilities) Videocard and that the X1600 is DX9.0c (SM 3.0 abilities) which is the reason the game isn't working basically your 9200 doesn't know how to render the game. Not to mention the X1600 is 2X+ the speed of the 9200. Best I can think of for PCI -> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131082 if your in america. This is the HD2400Pro DX10 (SM 4.0) one of the best still available for the
Yay just got mine in the mail (Arizona). Added to my growing collection of Chris Taylor games. Have so far enjoyed every one of them :) BTW why is the serial number in the box different from the one on my stardock account?
For some reason a few menu's created with certain Java Applications in Windows Vista x64 get black line strikeouts for some reason. I would post a picture, but I don't have web space for one. The applications I know it to effect on my PC are the beta of Dreamweaver CS4 and Azureus Vuze. It does not effect Netbeans or OpenOffice. I'm using the latest Official ATI Drivers on an X1900XT 512MB and WB 6.11 Build 100.
