As I sit here at my desk and peruse my copy of The Constitution Of The United States I am struck by the fact that it is in fairly simple words and sentences, a framework that has alowed us to be a nation of law. The Bill of Rights is an amazing start point for a nation. perhaps you might read it and think about what a document like that would mean to someone from a country like North korea where the secret police can come by and take you to the gula

The unit was a Marine Recon Unit (I think) the elite of the finest light infantry in the world. I believe it was a mommy who got up in arms and was blown off. Could have been one guy who didn't make it through RIP but I doubt it. Oh no doubt, the video really is pretty f-ing brutal but it is part of the macho Corps thing in a lot of ways. you would have hated joining my marine detachment on our last cruise. Think cuffs and sticks.

I think that you should be willing to listen to whomever but keep your commitment on a leash when you get into heavy duty discussions on the bible. Some folks want to "Literally " interperet it (which version?) while others will create a cult of personality around a central figure who makes all major decisions for his flock ( The Reverend Sun Hyung Moon). You might want to do some study on your own about different religious beliefs. A comparative re

When I made Lance Corporal in the Marine Corps '80 everyone who had that rank or higher got to pin it on both sides. (Ouch) Since you walked both ways through the gauntlet while stopping in front of each person. I admit I really didn't enjoy that one but it was an incentive to get promoted faster than the gorillas : /

As long as "kinder, gentler" does not become "more boringer" I figure that is fairly unlikely for you Gid, since even if you don't call them strange names like a pal of mine here you can still stir it up a bit.

A few years ago there was a large uproar over a videotape of a group of U.S. Marines who had graduated the U.S. Army Airborne School and were receiving their "Blood Wings" in a particularly enthusiastic manner. For those not familiar with the practice it involves placing the metal airborne insignia on the persons chest, or should I say "IN" their chest. The Jump wing

Dharma, I can relate completely! In Maine the flaggers even have to take a test and get a "Flaggers License", who'd a thunk it? Look at the bright side, at least they are fixing those frost heaves ; ) Two seasons in the northern US: Winter and road repair.

Holy crap you opened the doors wide on this one Muggaz! My answer here could be a Sir Peter if I was feeling completely jaded, but I don't think I want to go there now. I have watched comrades chase anything, (and I mean anything!) for that elusive high known as sex. It didn't have to be good or great, just sex. This is exclusive of my comrades gender. I think that sex is always better with someone you have at least some feeling for, but with

I think that the long version of this with multiple choice answers might be a little more accurate, but hey! I am the 21st century schizoid man. Well I am a Gemini. : ) Disorder | Rating Paranoid: Low Schizoid: High Schizotypal: High Antisocial: Low Borderline: Low Histrionic: Moderate Narcissistic: High Avoidant: Low Dependent: Low Obsessive-Compulsive: Low Not as boring as I would like. These definitely could use a publisher! Bill is a publisher too? I really want some home-made bread and fresh from the churn butter after reading about that food, Mmmm, BUTTER! (that is for my dairy farmer brother in law in Dassel -Cokato)

To answer your question,Yes I believe his strident mewling will aggravate enough undecided voters to "stay the course" as it were. I cannot speak of politics to one of my sisters because of her blind acceptance of that type of liberal screed. As for Anne Coulter, what can I say but that her book Treason was a poorly written screeching that was like nails on a chalkboard to me. I think her lack of "fame" is better for the Republican party than if she

If you see the news occur before your eyes and have other witnesses with different prejudices from your own, and you can agree on the basic facts... Then you have 'Fair and Balanced" news. Just don't expect your buddies at the bar to believe you too : )
