WhoooHooo! great rant Wyd?!! I think you may want to cut down on the caffeine a bit. : ) me too. Sometimes it is difficult to be an Independent in politics and thinking, but you are doing fairly well. Check out Tommy Franks book for a bit more insight into how President bush thinks and proof that there was a great deal of thought and planning that went into the Afghanistan war and Operation Iraqi freedom. If a military guy's hist

Thanks for the insight D, I don't really understand how points are generated nor do I eally care. I find that random clicking on links can find some interesting blogs.

With all of the hullaballoo about which candidate is: A. A War Criminal B. A Hero for all to admire C. A Deserter D. A Phony I decided to clue you in to a person who I had the privilege of serving with in the Second Infantry Division in the Republic of Korea. Not a politician but a real person. His name, Tommy Ray Franks. Gener

They should try to put a bit of distance between them. Like about 500 miles. If that makes them more unhappy then they were they may want to rethink the separation. If it is better, leave it that way. Half a life really isn't much better than no life. (like me lately)

Not always so Trent, I don't fit the definition of anti-social but I can relate to Cosmos here. After the rushing around dealing with all the crap that day to day living brings it can be good to be alone. If Cosmos is comfortable by himself with who he is, super. Good blog cosmos!

"Carving wood" LMAO! If he was in Seg, how did he get a sharp enough tool to do the deed? He may find himself coming up a bit short in the future. (Sorry but I had to)

Migggy, You can find Savage Love at theonion.com. Great archival features too. this article hits the nail on the head, I used to get the weekly reader in San Diego and laugh my butt off. The reader's personals are very over the Top. see how many references to sexual things in common sentences.

I like being "adopted" here. Encouragement and someone to comment on your posts is great. Then you know someone else read it! So this was a group mind type of decision and no one person instigated it? That is pretty cool Miggy.

I can live without those nukes that were reduced, but I know that a great deal of the equipment that was "retired" was perfectly servicable and is probably scrap or falling apart right now. Slick Willie and his crew gave me worse stress and heartburn than jimmie the peanuthead ever did.

Oh yeah CS, then they screw it up and to get it to work they have to get approval for overtime, wich of course has to come out of the project or unit's budget somewhere, leaving me with empty skillcraft pens to write with, no new tires for my Humvee, and a bad attitude from being told to "work with what we've got" And you can't tell your boss "stfu". It gets expensive if you do.

We also have the perilous Galah in Australia, causing much grief amongst the farmers due to their ability to figure out how to infiltrate grain supplies. The pesky devils have been rendering hession bags quite useless. What is a Galah bird and what the heck are hession bags? lmao

I don't know if I could have kept my composure on that one Chip, Taps can get me at any time and my eyes teared up from your description of the widow's reaction to the flag. I hope it helps writing about it.

After 17+ years in military service, 4 years USMC, and 13 more in the US Army I figured this would be as good a place as any to throw out a few statements regarding military service. Disclaimer: Not all "Loves" or "Hates" will apply for all users but many things will be similar. I'll start with the easy ones. Stick around for part 2 tho' I may surprise you. I d

As anyone in my family, or anyone at work who has pulled a Trivial Pursuit card out around me knows; Way too many! here's one If you put bannana peels around your rose bushes the aphids will leave them alone. You can't keep your eyes open when you sneeze. The maximum effective range of an excuse is 0 meters. (sorry I just had to do it )
