Wow, do away with the Constitution... Last I heard it took 3/4 of the individual states to get a constitutional amendment passed. Now congress is going to throw it out the window??? You sound like the Central Screwtinizer on Zappa's "Joe's Garage". Don't worry m. Some of us ignoramuses can understand what our Nation is based on.
SSG Geezer
Michael, Again with the unsupported facts. 1. General Tommy Franks was "made by this phony war". Wrong as anyone who has ever served with Gen Franks knows, He is a success because of who and what he is. Thos of us who have met him would probably be inclined to deck you for making him out to be a political leech like wesley Clarke. 2. His best selling book and a cush job as an adviser; Where and for whom? Cites please. Read the b
"last dance with Maryjane"?? An ode to pot???? I thought it was about a necropheliac who had the hots for Kim Basinger. This subject is one of my favorite things to despise about the religious right. I had a woman make a smart ass comment to me about my shirt while travelling one day. It is from the Colourbox, (a club in Seattle) that says on the back "Fuck Art, Let;s Mosh". I guess I could have told her "Nice pants, how many polyester
That sounds like a good idea at first Cacto, but the person in question actually looks fairly closely at what you are reading. I got a curious look when reading "Cigars, Whiskey and leadership" Based on the memoirs of U.S. Grant so I don't think that one will fly. I was wondering about that one today.
You can just call me Geezer like everyone else does C, And yes, the move East also fits into the money line; Cost of maintainers and support personnel will drop a great deal away from the unions in Germany that require a 36 or 40 hour week whether there is work to be done or not. Germany's mechanized forces are showing their age but they cannot upgrade or replace their vehicles due to the crushing cost of paying their civil service maintainer

Check out Sluggy Freelance at Sluggy.com Go all the way back to the beginning and spend many hours with the characters, My deployed roomie turned me on to this one and I spent weeks reading all of them in my spare time.
Speaking of Naivete, Hello Michael! Nice to know that you can call some of the people who left comments on your blog yesteday "intelligent", please talk down to us lowly ignoramus' some more.. It's your blog but you may want to read your own blog to see that it smacks of elitism when you write that way and probably encourages folks to respond in a more visceral manner than you would like. I can agree with you onyour opinion that "t
Good piece on the overall situation Couchman, The 4 to 1 ratio of support to shooters is probably still on the low side. During the Viet Nam war era it was closer to 9 to 1 in the army alone. The Marine Corps historically has a much lower ratio due to the belief that every Marine is a rifleman first and foremost. (See the book Cooks and Bakers as a fair example.) The services have reduced the hideous numbers from the V.N. era by doing a l
Again you hit the nail on the head Johnny! Seen too many good people living it.

He was definitely out of line Sally, A knee jerk reaction might have been just the thing for him.
Sounds like a fun trip Gid. I love road trips even though my joints don't appreciate long hours in the car like they used to. near Bloomington IN is the Bean Blossom bluegrass festival, I think it is in the Summer/fall time frame but a lot of the biggies used to play there, (Bill Monroe and family). JC Mellencamp lives in the bloomington area and has his recording studio there. Bloomington, an oasis of culture in South
Another vote for apartment living! I love doing the lawn but when i deploy it used to get pretty shaggy unless the neighbor kid did it for the wife unit. More honey do's i can say I don't!
Razor has a point but I don't think that he understands that the issue is not really about the sex but about trust! So a there is no basis for his statement on self esteem because the betrayal of a trust by a friend and or lover very probably will damage a persons self esteem. The fact that someone you care about is putting your health at risk is another large betrayal, and could bring up other attitudes from the parties involved. Q:
I want to be The Galloping Geezer! I'll trip them with my cane when they watch wahine fall down. GG stumbles on!
