Carebear: Awww, sweetheart . . . I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling so bad. What you're feeling is pretty normal, but I would suggest maybe talking to your parents or maybe your pastor or school counselor about it anyways. Don't go around hurting in silence. And don't let JU get you down . . . it's only one tiny little piece in the great big puzzle that makes up your life. The best is yet to come, sweetie. Your puzzle isn't anywhere

dharmagrl: I am so excited for you! I hope everything goes smoothly, and I hope that none of your stuff is broken (that's a biggie!). I sure miss you around here, and I may end up giving you a call one of these days. Take care, and enjoy stepping into this new chapter of your life.

WiseFawn: I can't help but dislike this characterization of US soldiers. My husband is a soldier and he is a good, compassionate, loving man. He works in the Army as a medic. He has provided excellent medical care for soldiers, Afghani civilians, and even imprisoned terrorists who would just as soon kill him as they would look at him. He is not a "killing machine" . . . yes, he is trained, ready, and able to defend himself and those around him fro

Crusaders: It feels good to hear that my writing touched you (although I am sorry to have made you cry). I agree that pets can be a special part of a family unit, and I think learning to love and care for a pet is good for children. Thanks so much for your kind comments.

I am no longer allowed to own a pet. Oh, the state of Hawaii would let me. The Army housing office would be OK with it, too. The one person standing between me and a sweet little furry hamster is my heartless husband. He claims he's seen too much death and destruction following my previous pets around to allow me to inflict myself on yet another one of God's creat

Draginol: I would like to chime in to say I agree with the majority here that I appreciate the services and features of JU. And I agree that since it is absolutely free, a user making spiteful complaints and demands is completely out of line. No one makes you use it. If you don't like it, go somewhere else. Andrew:

chiprj: !! I'm sure you're right about that. Jill: Thanks. I just adore this photo of him . . . he is at the front of the line, walking with such purpose. I love it!

I love this photo of my husband and his company. My hubby is the one at the front with the sunglasses on. Isn't he hot?

Crusaders: Awww, thanks. Gideon: Yay! Isn't it sad that I'm excited about it? I'm supposed to be cool and not care . . . it's neat though, I can't help it! (do I get to write a gloat article about the first of my "a blogger you should know" f

fasilla: THEY CAN TAKE THEIR "OUR RECORDS SHOW YOU SHOULD HAVE GRADUATED BY NOW" AND SHOVE IT! i will graduate when the time is right. that is my final answer. I worked and cared for a family throughout college, and it took me a solid 5 & 1/2 years to finish . . . my father did the same

I'm in the top 20, baby! Seeing that I have very little else to do but write blogs and comment on others' blogs, it's not all that much of an accomplishment, but still, woohoo! And yes, caring about ranking smacks of points-whorery, but still, woohoo! I can't keep a hula hoop going for more than 3 or 4 trips around. I can't add real

1) Running on purpose is a sign of insanity. 2) Running makes you sweat, and sweating is a sign of insanity. 3) Running a long way causes you think that you are a healthy person, also a sign of insanity. Shoes or no shoes, you should immediately see your mental health authority about the compulsion you have to move quickly without due cause. I would even go so far as to say . . . run , don't walk, to a nearby doctor specializing

dharmagrl: Thank you so much . . . *hugs* really, really do know what you're going through. People don't understand that human touch is incredibly important. Just a simple hug or a hand squeeze can make a huge difference in somone's day. I had an insight into just how crucial it can be last year when dave was gone.

Hi there, nooby! Welcome to JU. Being a newbie myself, my answer may not be the best one you get. Here goes: Blogging is writing a "web log" . . . posting your thoughts on issues, narrating personal life events, or sharing links, photos, and articles you have come across that you think others would enjoy reading. Your blog is as unique as you, and it is a great (and anonymous if you

Gideon: Great article. I think a big factor in the instances of people looking down their noses at large families is the overly indulgent and materialistic nature of American culture. Many people can not see the joy that comes from family closeness and the role that sacrifice plays in love. Large families typically have to make sacrifices and work together (that is not to s

Actually, *looks down in shame* I drew it . . . before my husband left . . . it's been on the fridge awhile, and I think it's funny, so I thought I would post it . . . I send my hubby about 1 package a week, and each time I draw a different cartoon character (Ernie, Hamtaro, Cartman, Marge Simpson, etc.) in a desert camo uniform. I'm a dork.
