Jill: Terrific post. I agree with you completely. I do believe that happiness is a choice we make. It doesn't mean that we like everything we are handed in life . . . what it means is that we are flexible enough to not allow disappointment and disaster break us and centered enough to not internalize the chaos in our (and others') world, and optimistic and motivated enough to seek out joy anywhere we can envision it. Happy people dig through a pile

trina p: Sorry to hear that you're feeling rotten, but I've got a really cute mental picture of you as a little girl all scrubby with piggy tails, munching on some cookies. I hope that whatever is bothering you is quickly resolved. Enjoy your milk and cookies!

dharmagrl: He's fine . . . we are both excited about his upcoming leave. He started a blog site on here as well (it's contagious!). He's AdrianthePatriot (plug, plug). I'm doing fine as well . . . spend way more time than I should on JU! But it makes me happy. Everyone here is great, but there is definitely an empty space in JU that only dharmagrl can fill. Can't wait

I can speak from experience when I say that many people with "jobs" as opposed to "careers" may be eligible for overtime but are severely (sp?) chastized for going over their 40/wk. At one point almost two years ago I was working as "manager/photographer" for a portrait studio. I was also attending college and caring for my children (and husband) at that time. I worked my ass off at that job. I guess that's beside the point . . . anyways

Dear Mr. Thinks He Knows Everything: You don't know me. You don't know anything about my political beliefs, about my dreams, about my aspirations, or about the quality of person I am. For all you know I agree with your sentiments; I have never claimed agreement or disagreement. The problem is, you can not engage in a civil debate without resorting to hate, slander, and insults. I did not even begin to discuss the content of your
