I am dreading our first PCS . . . how will we ever get the place as clean as the Army wants it? I'm glad that's a couple of years away. Blech. I don't even like to think about it. I didn't even think about homecoming parties and all that stuff. Now it's all messed up. Is your husband coming home alone, or are there other guys (and girls) coming home, too?

wuxiaomao: It really is a fun place to live. I've been here for about a year, and I haven't come anywhere near doing and seeing everything there is to do and see. I love 50 First Dates, too. The nicest thing about living here is that life has a bit different pace. Every Friday

wuxiaomao: Actually they have a derrogatory word for us caucasians here in Hawai'i - we are haoles . I grew up in a small town and knew only a handful of non-white people. It was exciting to become an adult and get out and meet people who didn't all look like me and live like me. I think the culture here in Hawai'i is absolutely fascinating, but I do know that there are certain places where haoles are not welcome.

Jill: Wow . . . that sounds soooo good. I love Fall, too and I think it will likely be the thing I miss the most here in Hawai'i. Drink some hot cocoa for me, will ya?

Janders: I'm sorry to hear about this. That does suck. I used to work as a manager/photographer for a portrait studio, and since I was the sole person working there, I NEVER got to call in sick. The job was so fun but so stressful and draining. Yuck. I hope you find something good.

Please indulge me in a little mini-rant about something that has been bothering for some time. I'm sure you've seen the billboards and bumper stickers that say "Support Our Troops". They might have a flag or a yellow ribbon or some other bit of patriotic clipart on them. In fact, I have a yellow ribbon magnet that says "Support Our Troops" myself.

Capt.: Not to get bogged down in the big religious debate, but according to Paul, it is better to remain unmarried and devote yourself to the Lord. If you have sexual desire that you cannot resist (who doesn't?) then it is better that you marry so that you can "get your freak on". 1 Corinthians 7 : 1 - 2 & 8 - 9 talk about this specifically, but the entire chapter up until verse 17 h

SSG Geezer: I'm making a list for when my dear hubby comes home . . . so many broken items to be fixed However, word is that after the privatization (sp?) goes through, Actus (the company that will own the housing) will be mowing our lawns and trimming our hedges for us! Yipee! (I'll believe it when I see it!)

Hmmm . . . I am not so great with these things. Sorry I couldn't help.

. . . and might I say that Al-Sadr gets the award for "Muslim Cleric with the Worst Teeth" . . . eww . . . maybe we should bomb him with some flouride or something? Capture him and forcibly floss his teeth?

OK . . . here's what I think you do . . . you click on the bar that says link and then type in the url you want to link to. If I'm not looking right at it I can't remember exactly what to do. Maybe that will help?

Gideon: Sounds like fun! I think roadtrips and vacations where things don't turn out quite as planned make for the best memories. I haven't been on many roadtrips outside the state of Texas, but when we (my parents, my kids, and myself) made the trip from Amarillo, TX to Columbia, SC (my husband was graduating from basic training

I'm still a newbie, but I'll tell you what I know: There is a little icon at the bottom of your article that allows you to edit it. I can't remember what it looks like since I'm not looking at it right now, but first is the quote icon, then the magnifying glass icon, and the third is to edit your articles. That's the extent of what I know. I hope that helps at least a little bit. <img src="../images/smiles/smile.gif" border=0

Janders: Thanks for your comment. I agree that a breastfeeding mother ought to be respectful of those around her - I have yet to come across a nursing mother who wasn't modest and discreet. I have never seen a woman with a breast hanging out while the baby nursed - although now that I've said that, I'm sure that I'll go somewhere in the next week and witness that very thing ju

Janders: Thanks for your comment. I sometimes think that we take all the joy out of life in attempt to appear like a more "perfect" parent to others. Bring on the tv and cereal - and might I suggest something we watch something mindless and tacky?
