Janders: Thanks for your comments. I'm sure there's gotta be a kid on this island saving up for a junker car or a Gameboy SP who could mow my lawn. I've just gotta find him (or her)! Thanks again. It's great to know that people are reading my stuff.
Texas Wahine
blondelife: Well, regardless of where it came from, I thank you for sharing it. It's a very touching poem.
SPC Nobody Special: This is SO freakin' funny! I saw a photo of a crocodile with a whole deer in his mouth on snopes.com the other day and I thought of you. <TD class="mb-Bod
wild animal 6 year old up in a tree peeing on other kids That's hilarious! I am happy to be living on base, but there's some messed up stuff that goes on here, too. Luckily, my kids haven't been peed on yet! <img src="../images/smiles/lol.
Hey there! Welcome to JU from a fellow newbie.
Gideon: I know exactly where you're coming from about the cheese thing - I think it's a little kid thing 'cause my three year old likes to "sneak" cheese singles from the fridge. As far as chocolate goes, I NEED at least some chocolate everyday. It's hard to explain, but it is a definite craving. I try not to buy chocolate because I will just keep eating it, but when I don't have it, I will eat anything remotely resembling choco
I enjoyed reading your thoughts. Nice post.
"The Galloping Geezer" - Oooh! That's good! We are a fearsome group, let me tell ya! Have you thought about your costume, Galloping Geezer?"
chiprj: I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for your comment. Melinda: Thanks for your comments. I'll buy whatever crap they sell to raise money, but I won't canvas the neighborhood selling candles and coffee mugs out of a catalogue. If that makes me a bad mom, then so be it. <img src="../images/smiles/joke.gi
Sometimes I don't comment for fear that others will get tired of hearing me yap my trap all the time. I agree though, I appreciate getting comments. I like to know that others read my stuff, and it's fun to know what they think about it.
Ravenblack: What a great post. Being a newbie myself, I can definitely see how discouraging being blasted early on could be. I feel fortunate that although not everyone here at JU has always agreed with me, everyone has welcomed my participation in the discussions. I read on another blog (I'm sorry I cannot remember which one) where someone said that it is importan
I thought I had bad neighbors, but you have got me beat by miles and miles . . . and miles. The fact that you haven't said those things to her already pretty much qualifies you for sainthood, in my opinion. Wow.
Almost everyone who reads this will try to lick their elbow. Guilty. I really just thought I might be able to. So close. Oh, well.
Funny photo. Not as funny as the video of middle aged Bush earnestly digging for gold (picking his nose), though. Anyone else seen that?
Gideon: I just wanted to let you know (in case you didn't already) that I enjoy your posts tremendously. You find interesting things to blog about and your writing is always fun to read and thought-provoking. I've said it once, and I'll say it again: Rock on, Gideon! BTW - I must have missed the popular Mary-Kate blog . . . should I take a peek? <img src="../imag
Now, this is some juicy stuff right here, Dharmagrl. Ahhh, the drama. It's quite cool that she is getting all persnickety (don't you love that word?) just as your husband the cop and newly minted E6 is about to return home. Good stuff. I think you should go with KarmaGirl's Easter bunny idea.
Interesting post. Kudos to you for making yourself vulnerable and opening yourself up like that. That takes some guts.
Ebay Onegay, vileay oldcay! That should do it, I think.
Dharmagrl: Wish I could help, but I'm doing good to know which buttons to push to make mine turn on!
Gideon: who needs bedtimes, eh? Bedtimes are for squares, am I right?
Dharmagrl: Glad to hear I'm not alone. I agree, I think we could probably have a lot of fun together. BTW I'm not sure what mental illness causes my obsession with coasters, but when I ask them to bring me a soda (using my children as slaves is another reason why the PTA doesn't want me) they always bring a coaster with it! Zoo: Thanks for your comment. <img src="../images/
BlueDev: I agree with you. Breastfeeding can be beneficial far past the first year. The first year is a minimum goal. Obviously, any time spent breastfeeding is great for the baby, but one year is what the nursing mother should be aiming for. I nursed my son until he was about a year and a half, at which time he had enough teeth to make it rather painful (and he was getting much of his nutrition from solids at that time as well). I read
JakeD: I'm not sure what you're going for here, dude. Monkeys? Erections? I'm not getting you.
20. Cereal . . . it's what's for dinner! 19. My three year old loves to drink water out of a watergun . . . and I'm OK with that. 18. Three year old: Waaaaahhhhh! Seven year old: He bit me! Three year old: No I didn't. *sniff* He sat on my head. Seven year ol
Jill: I can appreciate the point that you are making here, but obviously, I disagree. I believe it is a legal right. It is discrimination for a business to refuse entry to a breastfeeding woman. A woman should not be banished to a cramped car or have to leave her cart full of items in the store and drive off to the park in order to be able to feed her child. Breastfeeding has so many health benefits, and can be quite difficult. I feel t
