make your pic load it into irfanview, drop it to 4bit, save it as a bmp load it back into ps, touch up using only the colors left in that 4bit pallette ok..........whats irfanview whats ps.

its been a VERY long time since i made a bootskin. Now i made a bootskin and it is ready to be sent to this site with the exception of one problem. i used photoshop to convert my image to a 16-bit image but i cant save it as a .BMP file. If i can't do that then the bootskin software won't regonize the skin i made. And the image has to be a .bmp anyway. How can i make my image into a 16-bit .bmp image file? tell me if you guys use a certain type of sof

man my computer is so not up to date...... i think windows vista run the minmium of 512MB which (just like the 64MB of WIN XP) will hardly at least run. Tell me if this is a good idea: for now....i'm going to by a 1GB memory for my computer so that it can at least be a bit faster. Then when Windows Vista comes out, i'll just buy a PC pre-installed with Vista. is that good? i think that this is probably good because upgrading my CPU is very risky since i've never done it before and as for the graphics card, i'll just wait for windows vista and then upgrade it. Please tell me what you think or what you think i should do better.

This is your problem. If you're using XP which I assume you are 512 MB is the bare minimum recommended for running the OS which will guarantee your system will feel slow even without any add-on applications. actually, the minimum is 64MB. ok but what if i use the sandisk as a drive for the skins instead of putting it on the comput

I'm trying to install windowblind on my computer but if i do, it will make my computer slow. About two weeks ago, i bought a sandisk 1gb drive thinking that i will need it school but it turned out i didn't need it. So can i use that as an external hard drive to install windowblibs, bootskin, and log-on softwares? Is there anything better i can do?
