When I was a child I had a blanket bought for me. It was (and is) wonderful. Woven of the softest wool and dyed in big checks formed of red lines - but inside the checks everything was wonderful tones of different colors that blended into each other. I took it with me to college and wanted to bring it with me when I left the UK. No room. So it languishes in storage, back in the UK. I'm sure she'll take hers with her when she goes to college too.
