Watch Howard Dean, destruct, destruct, destruct, Listen to dean ehaw, ehaw, ehaw. is "ehaw" how you spell the infamous scream? I have been wondering how to properly spell that... Whoa, I'm asking for spelling advice from Moderateman...When did I get to the Twighlight zone? <img src="../images/

so YOU'RE Nixon's hitman...(one of my favorite conspiracy theories)...
I KNEW IT!!!!!! BTW, did you also shoot RFK?
Move to Saskatchewan? They don't have daylight savings time there for some reason that was explained to me once that I think involved cows. I can think of a better reason, though. DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME IS THE F*CKING STUPIDEST IDEA EVER!!!!!
First off you'll notice that I did NOT think this up I never said you thought it up, I just said it was a bad idea. And I said you weren't a dumbass. Isn't this what you want from all of the "liberals among us" to not call the others dumbasses? <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=ce
Yet another dumbasss idea from this rightwing deathcult loving dumbass Well, I wouldn't say drmiler is a dumbass, just this is a really bad idea.
"I didn't mean to" doesn't cut it when a tragedy or disaster has occurred. But a tragedy or disaster hasn't occured. A simple solution would be for the student to have the knife confiscated for the day (with the students explanation, corroborated by the parents) and allow the parents to pick it up, no
Zero tolerance is little more than an effort to please simpletons. Same with "anything that can be used as a weapon is a weapon." In the case of the 12 year old boy, he had no intention of using it as a weapon or even bringing it to school. Honour students getting suspended for bringing nail clippers to school...Please don't make me vomit
Gun-toting thugs do not have the discipline needed to be placed in a combat zone. It would be disasterous...a danger to our troops and to Iraqi civilians. agreed
Why is it that I have a bad feeling about giving someone convicted of a violent crime an assault rifle and dropping them of in Iraq and telling them to kill terrorists is a bad idea? Would you want an Iraqi convicted of attempting to kill Iraqi security forces given an AK-47 and told to help out the police where you live? This is just asking for trouble, the likes of which would make Abu Ghraib look pale by comparison. It's not the convicts I'm worr
HOW????? Moderateman's drug years???
Pretty much the whole episode where they visited my city (Winnipeg) for drugs. "We were born here. What's your excuse?" -so true
"slick willie" in charge of the UN! Not going to happen. The general consensus is that it's Asia's turn for sec-gen next, and even if it were North America's turn, Stephen Lewis would be a much more viable candidate.
I know I wouldn't be a good secret service agent. First, I wouldn't have the reflexes necessary to take a bullet for the President. Second, I probably wouldn't be able to pass any physical tests. Third, giving me a gun and putting me near Bush is just not a good idea.
I'm currently reading "Locked in the Cabinet" by Robert Reich (Clinton's Secretary of Labour) and he seems to corroborate what was said about the Clintons, especially Hillary
Sounds like the teacher was just being a bully. I don't think you overcome something by taking on its worst traits. I tend to agree with you here, because I can't see most bullies going "so this is what I've been doing to people. That hurts. I'll stop." I can't see it helping any.
Interesting bully-related story that happened a couple of weeks (ish) ago in my city. A teacher made bullies wear hockey helmets that had things like "Bullies are losers" written on them and encouraged the rest of the class to tease them. Interesting approach, but it caused a huge controversy around the city about whether the punishment was appropriate and whether the teacher should be punished for it. Any thoughts?
Which is why I said this is not be for everyone. I think this is the problem. No solution will prevent all acts of violence. There is no "magic bullet" that can stop all crime. For example, having the guns locked up and inaccessible might have prevented the Red Lake shooting, but there is no way
If the physcos don't know who has one they will be less likely to try anything stupid. I don't think knowing that a few teachers have guns would stop the psychos.
I'm from Winnipeg, Manitoba. It's near the center of Canada, north of the North Dakota-Minnesota border. And winters suck. I remember one day where we got like 6 inches of snow, which usually isn't bad, except it was May 11! Wow, we put most people to sleep with our fields and very few hills. <BR
Now you wanna lock up cops guns? I'm sorry, I guess locking up your guns when there are kids in your house is a crazy, incomprehensible idea. My bad.
I didn't know I cause liver damage Seriously, take a break from your dysfunctional internet family. And try not to think too hard about stuff (or spelling )
You don't like my idea? fine. Then come up with a better one. And don't use more gun control since the last 2 shootings were done with guns stolen from cops! Were the guns used in the Red Lake shooting locked up? Was the ammo locked up? Could "they" have done more for the kid to prevent him from going
Honestly, there are some teachers at my school I would not feel safe around if they were armed. Agreed. Plus the chance that a 200 pound kid who is the star of the ______ team innocently approaching the 110 pound female teacher, then not so innocently reaching for her gun with the element of surprise.
you moron better add one to the list
