Take a look- Under Bush the Government and spending have gone nuts. In addition, because we cut the tax revenue while increasing spending we have almost a 1/2 Trillion dollar deficit this year. Why would anyone borrow money so they can give people who do not need a tax cut more money. Bush sold the BS in 2001 that we had this $5.7 Trillion surplus and had to give it back. Well how do you give something back we do not have. Zell Miller of Georg

No, I am not a big fan of Sen Kerry. But I do know the job Bush has done does not warrent a second term! What we need is a moderate Republican that is more interested in the long term welfare of the majority of Americans then the greed of the far right. I have been a Republican for over 40 years and was a member of the Republican committee in Pennsylvania in the mid 70's. Those were the days when Republicans believed in fiscal sanity. We called democr
So What. If that is what George W. said it does not matter if he said it to a Republican, Democrat or independent. Every time information is released by anyone that is not favorable to George W., his supporters try and discredit them. I loved his answer to the question about what mistakes had he made. George W. answered, he wished he had that question in advance to think about it for some time. It would take days to list the mistakes and ineffective po
The professor said, a teacher remembers their best and worst students. George W. was in the latter group. In addition, the opinions expressed by George W. were very radical and the fact his father was a very important person, when George W. was at Harverd, make it very undersandable how Professor Teurumi would recall him. Given the policies President Bush has put into place, I believe he in fact did say just what Professor Tsurimi remenbers.
Yesterday I reveiced a note and letters from Professor Yoshi Tsurumi, the economics professor of George W. at Harvard. Professor Tsurumi provided me two pieces of information that helped flush out the charecter of George W. He provided copies of letters he wrote (published in The Scarsdale Inquirer) and one written by Nicholas D. Kristof of the New York
I am glad to see some people are interested in this subject. Althouigh the comments get at specific issues, the basic issue of the growing debt and its impact is true. When drmiler states we would be better under Bush, he fails to look at the past four years as well as the Bush budget projection that shows the debt growing without end. He also fails to acknowledge the impact of making the tax cuts (on the wealthy) permanant. The tax cuts during the fir
Reply to drmiller The impact of the Charge and Spend Republicans continued for 5 of the 8 Clinton years. The only time in the past 24 years we did not have a deficit was during the last three years of Clinton. As soon as Bush took over, the deficits began again. If Kerry was able to get his new spending in place you would be correct. However, unless BOTH houses of Congress are controlled by the Democtrats, this new spending can not take place.
One of the most distructive policies of President Bush and his conservatives in Congress is the fiscal policy we are following. This policy is to drastically cut tax revenue while increasing spending. The result is a structural deficit. This began for real in 1980 with the Reagan tax cuts and spending increases. It is true, tax rates prior to 1980 were too high and s
Reply to drmiler Yes the jobs do belong to the companies. We need to make sure our tax laws encourage the companies to keep the jobs in the US. The market sets the exchange rates except for China that sets its rates so low we can not sell our products in China while making their products cheep in America. That is how we are getting to a 600 Billion trade imbalance. That can not be allowed to continue without harmiing our economy!
Reply to terptan 1980 Please show what information is not correct? The problem with so many is when facts do agree with their position, they try and say the facts are not true. Bush is a past master at this.
reply to Madine: The proof is the fact five million workers have entered the job maket with a net loss of 1 million jobs since Jan 2001. There is no way the unemployment rate can be the same as in 2001 with a shortfall of six million jobs. Next, I assune what you mean by payroll tax is Soicial Security tax paid by employers. That sounds like a Bush solution - help the Social Security System to fail sooner! We need to impose tax penalitie

President Bush tells us the economy has created almost 1.5 million jobs since August 2003. That means we are only about 1 million below the number when he took office. What the president does not tell the American people is that over the past 3 3/4 years since he took office, about 5 million new workers have tried to enter the job market. For us to remain just even,
The issue is Bush and what he did not if anyone likes him as a person. Bush has a track record as President and part of that is his inability to admit when he is wrong. Supporters say he a strong leader. Well, Napoleon was a strong leader but he was a disaster for France. If you look over the past four years at how Bush delt with the economy, the deficit, trade, Social Security and Medicare as well as the War on Terrorism, one can see a lot of errors
It is past time to get at the issuies that will impact us and our children. The Budget, Social Security and Medicare, education, JOBS, trade, our security, the rebuilding of our infrastructure. All these isues and more are the subject of the book, "Four More For George W?" This book is receiving some great comments from readers. Look at the comments on Amazon.com.
All those people are NOT asking to be reelected President of the United States. How can you respect a Commander-in-Chief that expects the military to obey him when he did not obey the Commander-in-Chief when he was in the military! This is about George W. Bush and no one else!
Please read my reply to drmiller posted 27 Sept. This information came from his records released by DoD and documents that Bush did not obey Air Force Regulations and did not attend drills from April to Oct 1972. Bush had an obligation to the Guard until summer 1974. This has nothing to do with liking George Bush. These are the facts and the issue in 2004 is that the President is not telling the truth about what he did when it was his turn to serv
The question is what was the danger to America and are we safer. Read "Four More For George W?" for some answers. This book is receiving some great reader comments. Look at some on Amazon.com.
Yes the Bush policies are killing America. Only the top 3-5% of wage earners benefit from Bush and his policies. Read, "Four More For George W?" if you want the real facts. This book is receiving some great reader comments. see Amazon.com.
You are correct. Lets talk about issues. Read," Four More For George W?" and than lets talk!
President Bush has been going to community after community telling Americans that the economy is improving. Remember his earlier claim, "we are turning the corner" In many of the states he visits with this message, workers can not find work or if they can it is at a pay level far below their old job. Millions of American workers have lost their health benefits since
Reply to drmiller proof Bush failed to take physical and attend drills. The most recent documentation were the records that were released by DoD as a result of a Lawsuit. It was reported by the Associated Press Sept 8, 2004. The records released by DoD establish the following: The last flight forLt Bush was April 1972 which is consistant with his pay records. His pay records show he had a lapse of duty from April to
For me the only real importance of the Bush Guard service in 2004 is that he continues to lie about how he got into the guard and his contention he met ALL his responsibilities while in the Guard. It is time for him to fess up to his conduct and move on. He will not do that. As to reelecting him there is a wealth of data on that subject. Read, "Four More For George W?" which documents the impact of the Bush policies. There are many specific re
Failure to obey a lawful order or regulation is a violation of Article 95 of the UCMJ. Bush did not obey the regulation to take the physical and was grounded. It is a great question as to why he was not punished. The Air Force also requires a rerport when ever a pilot is grounded. That report can not be located - WHY?
