Quoting lzvk25, reply 14One last try. what version of Total Commander did you try ? The one I have is the 32 Bit version because of the plugins. I used the latest 64-bit version, Total Commander v8.01.
I tried again with the 64-bit version, same result. Sorry. I am going to write to Stardock Support, with a lot of luck maybe they will answer.

Thank you for your time, guys, however, I do not think the issue is on my side because if it was, ALL the skins would have the same problem, and yet I have a lot of old skins that work perfectly, even a lot of them designed for Windows 7. And as I said before, it is only the new skins that present this issue. Therefore something changed and probably only Stardock Support can answer that....
By all means, take your time and test it properly. [e digicons][/e] Yes, please, don't be like Adobe, I had the disgust of working with them in other projects none of them related with their "Acrobat" line and I can say, they are they most arrogant and incompetent people I have ever met so much that even although we have a 4gl tool to generate our programs : AbInitio, the data that they sent us was so bad that I had to write HUGE special C/C++ programs just to va
Funny thing is I downloaded and installed Total Commander to troubleshoot this issue on Windows 7 64-bit and did not have any issues at all with the menus like that as far as I could tell. However, when I right clicked on a directory like shown in the screenshot in the OP (I am assuming that is what was done), I did not even get a menu popup at all. Maybe I was doing something wrong or did not have it configured correctly?
Yes, this is so badly needed. Perhaps this could be the only thing that could save Windows 8. [e digicons][/e]
Is there anybody from Stardock Support who could give us some insight about a possible cause ? Please ? [e digicons]:pout:[/e]
Dunno if this'll help, but I solved my problem. Turns out I had to disable hardware acceleration inside Firefox. After I did that, everything reverted back to normal. Geez, if I'd only figured it out sooner...
Thank You !! [e digicons]k1[/e] Finally, I am able to use FF properly.
Try closing Total Commander and reopening it again, if you haven't already done that. I sometimes encounter this issue with my graphics programs, getting a blank menu after clicking on the menu bar. Works every time. Not saying it will work here but worth a shot I think.
That was the very first thing I tried, and as I said before, I re-applied the skin, rebooted my machine, etc. and nothing. This is an issue that only happen
I re-applied the skin, rebooted, etc. and nothing. I already tried to contact the author (TomRichter) in the case for Woodoku but because that was the first case I found I couldn't see if this was a trend with the new skins. Obviously, he says that his skins works OK, and since most likely he doesn't have to deal with Total Commander, he is right. Therefore, either is a setting or a bug somewhere... That's my gut feeling.
Now that I decided to change the look of my desktop and after a long time of using the same skin, I found that with many of the new skins I am having a problem with the right click in Total Commander. To ilustrate my problem, here are these screenshots, first with one that works with no problems. With Skin : Pressurized by Xiandi First here is the regular Total Commander : Now

Well, I gave it another try, and of course, I uninstalled WB5 making sure NOTHING was left and now it worked. And of course I will have to reload ALL the skins I had. This is really becoming annoying and frustrating. Now the thing is that the updater is not doing anything to wbsrv.dll.
This morning as soon as I finished the update WB5 to 4.96[b].003 and rebooted, my machine started to display this message : WindowBlinds cannot start WindowBlinds is currently not installed properly If you have just installed WindowBlinds, please endure you rebooted after the istallation as the installer suggested. OK And even if I rebooted again, and again, and again, it still appeared. So I decided to uninsta
Thanks Truepcs. It works now, I just wish the Stardock people would be more conscious about their autoupdate.
I currently can't update WB5 from 4.90g[b].003 to 4.95[b].008, neither SkinStudio Professional from 4.90e[b].002 to 4.95[b].008. In my logs, everything seems fine except the last lines : -- [Installation] --------------------------------------------------- Download: F:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\data\public\wb5\beta\wb5.xml 1 Load: F:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\data\public\wb5\beta\wb5.xml 1 Load: F:\Program
Remember in America anything can be grounds for a lawsuit. So you have to be specific even to the most moronic level you can imagine.
Thank you !!! Finally I am able to get WB5 working. I am glad someone posted the real required steps to get this application up and running.
I uninstalled WB4 and installed WB5 and the lower part of my applications as well as the Windows Taskbar DO NOT appear skinned like they did with WB4. Well, back to 4.60...
