I'm just not impressed - that's all.
Me neither. I hoped for a complete rewrite with absolutely no glut which means almost no backward compatibility. I was willing to live with that. Now I have something that has poor backward compatibility with a lot of glut.
But then again I use Linux...
I use Linux for my server purposes. I really like them.
post a new shot when you have it changed
Oops, this is not my skin. I was just curious about the remark as I myself may be making such mistakes in my work.

Good looking skin. I am not a fan of dark though.
Too much clash between the highlighting and the black
It would be nice, NT, if you could expand on that a bit.
I really don't want to keep buying software over and over when a new OS comes out.
You don't have to. There are lots of people still running Windows 95, 98, ME and 2000. It's like keeping your old car. Some people like to drive them until it dies. Some people want to try a new car every few years.
Quit letting MS control your wallet!
MS have no control over my vallet. I am not sure how they can. May be you can explain it to me.

I am hoping to upload it somewhere and post a link here. There are some bugs in th

Download is the preferred way I think. I am not sure if you are referring to Object Desktop, WindowBlinds etc or about skins. If you are referring to StarDock products, you get a link to StarDock Central, you download and install it. Then Star Dock Central will download the individual applications. You just enter your key code you received in the same email in to star dock central when you first run the application.

1. I was testing SkinStudio 6 on Vista x64 with WB6. I created a verical image for the vertical task bar with a simple gradient from top to bottom. I wanted to stretch this image for the task bar. I could not get this working in SkinStudio 6. Not sure if this is a SkinStudio6 problem or WB6 problem. 2. For the vertical task bar, edit the task bar background image and just fill it completely with one color. Edit the start button and fill it with another color. Make sure you have colors t

On my computer, Vista boots and runs faster, at least that is how I feel. I haven't made any real benchmarking on my computer. My PC: ASUS P5B-E with Core 2 Duo E6700 3GB DDR2 800 in dual channel mode 2 SATA II 250 GB in RAID 0 for the boot drive ATI X850 PRO 256 MB graphics card The graphics card gave a 4.9 for 3D graphics but the rest of the system is 5.5-5.9 My theory is that when your computer is more powerful, Vista does better than XP. <br/
Looks like a great start
Thanks Fuzzy Logic.
You should definitely upload this when its done
I will try to get permission from Night Train. By the way your comment about lighting on another post threw me off. I had no idea about the importance of consistent lighting effects on all elements I am working on it. You probably had no idea that how many people benefit from such co

Here is how my skin looks now. Then today when I was looking through new forum entries, I found this post about black and green skins . Look at the skin Intoxik8ed by Night Train. The green buttons are almost the same. I may go ahead and finish the the skin, but I no longer p

I had a dedicated PC that I used for beta testing Vista, There were many many issues. Application compatibility for one was the worst. The number one reason why I am not on Vista full time is the application compatibility issues. That is not entirely MS fault. They kept changing stuff in the OS that might have put off application developers. Another reason may be Vista's pre release reputation of something that may never get released. Wht is the point of getting my apps ready for an OS that is i
It doesn't provide enough difference from DVDs for me, so I will wait for newer media.
Chances are that on a 42" TV you may not notice much of difference between an upscaling DVD player and an HD player. Most of my friends could not see difference between 1080i & 1080p on a 52" TV.

Sorry for the spam. I created a new skin using SkinStudio 6 and this is from the UIS file. Generator=Stardock SkinStudio Professional ver 5.0.1, Build 1112 - http://www.skinstudio.net WBVer=500 I see 2 possible inconsistencies here. - SkinStudio version - WBVer PS: I opened the UIS file in notepad and set the background color.

How do I set desktop background? Apply button always resets my desktop background to some kind of blue color. I have no wall papaer set, just a black background screen to test out my changes. I tried changing the setting in WB6 not to spply the skin wallpaper, still when I click apply button in SkinStudio 6, it sets the back ground color to blue.
